Barry J. Beck is the Founder and CEO of Evenly Technologies, an AI enabled telemedicine company based in Washington, DC. Beck Founded and served as Chief Operating Officer of Bluemercury, Inc., a high-growth luxury beauty retail brand, which was acquired by Macy's Inc. [NYSE: M] in 2015. He also Founded M-61 Laboratories, makers M-61 Skincare, and Lune+Aster Cosmetics, the first clinical, vegan and sustainable cosmetics brands. Prior to Bluemercury's founding, Beck was a founder of Tower Systems, now U.S. Maintenance, a contract services business serving national retail chains, which was acquired by The Emcor Group [NYSE:EME].
Beck was named the 2023 Entrepreneur of the Year by Cornell University and was the 2020 recipient of Cornell University's Alpern Distinguished Alumni Award. Beck was also named the 2017 Retailer of the Year and was the recipient of the 2016 Retail Innovator of the Year Award. He sits on the Harvard Business School Board of Dean's Advisors, the Advisory Council of Cornell University's ILR School and served on the Trustee Council of Cornell University, the Board of Advisors of The Fashion Institute of Technology, and on the Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.
