Olive Films used the Afm to announce its new division Martini Entertainment and unveiled Eric D Wilkinson as evp of production, development and acquisitions.
Wilkinson will develop and oversee all original productions for the new venture and handle acquisitions and will work alongside his longtime writing and producing partner Richard Schenkman.
The pair co-wrote and is currently developing action-horror Miscreation and ghost thriller Haunted.
Wilkinson previously worked at Kino Lorber where he launched the Horizon Movies label. Prior to Kino Lorber he served a 10-year stint at MGM Home Entertainment and Starz / Anchor Bay Entertainment.
His producing credits include Jerome Bixby’s The Man From Earth, comedy Paranormal Movie, the 2014 action film Sparks and recent theatrical release Mischief Night.

Cologne, Germany -- Olive Films has picked up U.S. rights to "When We Leave," the debut drama from German director Feo Aladag starring Sibel Kekilli ("Head-On") as a woman ostracized by her devout Muslim family.
"When We Leave" has been collection accolades since its debut at the Berlin Film Festival earlier this year. The film won best feature and Kekilli best actress honors at Tribeca and Kekilli picked up the Best Actress Lola -- Germany's equivalent of the Oscar -- for her commanding performance as Umay, an abused wife whose family turns against her.
The deal was negotiated by Olive Films' president Farhad Arshad and Irina Ignatiew, evp of German world sales group Telepool.

BERLIN -- Farhad Arshad, president of U.S. independent distribution company Olive Films, said that the company has acquired North American rights to Stewart Main's New Zealand feature film 50 Ways of Saying Fabulous from New Zealand Film, the sales arm of the New Zealand Film Commission. The sale was made at the Berlin International Film Festival tradeshow component, the European Film Market , and was negotiated by New Zealand Film's Kathleen Drumm.
