The X Factor judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has admitted that she thinks New Kings Order are "cheesy".
The group - formerly known as The First Kings - won a place in Cheryl's top six Groups and sang for her in Rome in an attempt to make it through to the live shows.
But Cheryl told The Sun that she wants women to fancy the five-piece.
"I think they are cheesy," she said. "You want them to have the desired effect on the women where the women go crazy when they come out. It's that masculinity and confidence - you want to feel like they're going to kick off when they come on stage."

It's time! To face! The swimming pools and perfectly kept lawns! It's always been our favourite phase of The X Factor and now the glorified game of musical chairs is mercifully over, this weekend sees the surviving 24 acts jet off to Judges' Houses.
Or Judges' Pretend Houses, as we prefer to call it, as they tend to be rented residences. You don't think Cowell and co would let the oiks into their real homes, do you?
There are opulent interiors and guest mentors. Tension gets eked out and tear-sodden hugs get issued. Someone always wears unwise shorts. Someone else dives into a pool with their clothes on. This year, there's even a ghost. We can't wait. But while we do, let's rewind the all-time highlights from Judges' Houses…
1. Sinitta turns over a new leaf (2009)

It's not just X Factor winners who keep us coming back year in, year out, it's the ludicrous novelty acts who make the show so memorable. In the words of Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, "it may be borderline bonkers, but I love that".
But since Louis Walsh's departure from the show, there's been a noticeable lack of novelty fodder. Damn them for employing judges who actually value musical talent over mad outfits and insane dance routines.
So in tribute to the former finalists who may have made us visibly cringe but always smile, here's nine of our favourites, brought to you in association with TalkTalk's new Bopheads app:
1. Wagner (2010)
"On my death bed, I shall remember this moment..."
A 54-year-old, Brazilian-born former lion owner from Dudley, Wagner Carrilho won Sharon Osbourne's heart with his sheer eccentricity at the Judges' Houses.

And so it's over. Ben Haenow has been crowned the winner of The X Factor after months of auditions and more auditions and Boot Camp and Judges' Houses and live shows. Now what?
Well, we're not quite ready to say goodbye just yet, so we've collected some of our favourite moments of the series. We're not talking performances as such - we're talking all the silly sideshow bits and bobs that have made this series. Are any as good as Jedward doing their own backing vocals or Rachel Adedeji falling over? We'll leave that up to you to decide.
So without further ado, here they are, in no particular order...
1. Only The Young shouty man
We're not quite sure when we started noticing Only The Young shouty man, but that's just because it feels like he's always been there. The over-exuberant supporter has invaded our consciousness to such an extent...

The X Factor brought back several of its most memorable performers for a medley on Saturday's show (December 13).
Billed as the show's "greatest hits", host Dermot O'Leary introduced a version of Black Eyed Peas' 'The Time (Dirty Bit)' that began with Stevi Ritchie flying through the crowd.
Ritchie was soon joined on stage by past contestants Chloe Jasmine, Wagner Fiuza-Carrilho, Diva Fever and Chico Slimani.
Wagner was accompanied by two scantily-clad women while he played the bongos and rapped the line: "All these girls like my swagger, they call me big tiger!"

Katie Waissel was last onto the stage wearing a Lady Gaga-like stage costume, complete with a blocky black mask.
Waissel lived up to her outspoken reputation by appearing to tell judge Simon Cowell that he "owes her" during her appearance.

The X Factor kicked off its two-night finale on Saturday (December 13) as the final three each performed two songs.
Social media was abuzz as Fleur East, Ben Haenow and Andrea Faustini each attempted to achieve X Factor glory, with Faustini ultimately being eliminated ahead of tomorrow's finale.
Digital Spy rounds up reaction to night one of The X Factor's finale below:
1. Take That's opening of the show with the three finalists brought questions about the band auditioning new members:

Eight-piece boybands, middle-aged men dressed as Egyptians getting honey rubbed on their chests, Louis Walsh being... Louis Walsh. Yes, this series of X Factor might not have been the most thrilling, but even in a non-vintage year, there has been plenty to laugh at and enjoy.
This evening's final features Fleur East, Ben Haenow and Andrea Faustini battling for the prize of a record contract and the chance to hit the charts in time for Christmas. All the betting and polls seem to suggest that it's a one-horse race with Fleur running away with it, but The X Factor has thrown up surprises in the past, so nothing can be ruled out.

Jake Quickenden has been confirmed to be entering the jungle in ITV's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!.
Just four weeks ago, Jake was singing as a finalist in The X Factor before being the fifth act to be eliminated from the competition.
This got us thinking. This must be the quick(enden)est time that an X Factor finalist has found themselves on a different reality TV show so far - but which other acts traded series after attempting to secure a contract with Syco? Here they all are in order of time taken to do so.
1. Jake Quickenden (4 weeks)
Series: 2014
Finished: 12th
After reaching the Judges' Houses in 2012, Quickenden made it to the final 16 this year. He tried desperately to prove that he wasn't just a pretty face with a ripped physique, but it hasn't taken him long to get his kit off for his pre-I'm a Celebrity photoshoot.

It's Fright Night on The X Factor this week and boy, wouldn't you know it! Not only are the acts all singing 'Fright Night'-themed songs (or, well, they're supposed to be) but one of them will be booted out before the night is out after Simon Cowell got fed up with them all for not trying hard enough. If that's not all scary enough, The Script will be popping along to perform.
So join us when the show starts at 8pm as we find out who gives us thrills and who gives us chills. And, of course, who's having a right nightmare and will have to leave the competition...

Fleur East wowed Simon Cowell and Sinitta with a lively performance tonight (October 4) on The X Factor.
The X Factor contender sang a version of Jessie J's 'Bang Bang', the single that also features Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande.
Singing at Cowell's Los Angeles home, East competed for a spot in the final three of the over-25s category.
"The best so far," Cowell said to an agreeable Sinitta as East walked back to the house.
Cowell added: "This is the first time [that I've] remembered her."
This isn't the first time for East on the show. Back in 2005, East and her girl group Addictiv Ladies auditioned and made it through to the Live Shows.
The X Factor: Which three boys made the live shows?
The group were voted off the show by Louis Walsh after ending up in the bottom two with Chico. Now, East has returned as a solo singer.

Everyone knows that the best week of X Factor every year is Judges House. Don't talk to us about Six Chair Challenges, this is the real deal.
Blending heartbreak, tears, Sinitta dressed in only some palm leaves and ludicrous Louis Walsh decisions, it's a microcosm of the entire show squeezed into one handy bite-size chunk of weekend telly.
But who deserves to make the cut and who should be going home on an EasyJet flight from Barbados with nothing more than a Dermot O'Leary hug to comfort them?
Here are the Top 12 acts who we believe must make the Live Shows.
The Boys
1. Andrea Faustini
First name on the team sheet. This Italian pug-lover simply has to be in Mel B's Top 3. His rendition of 'I Didn't Know My Own Strength' at Boot Camp left us a blubbering wreck and he's also the No.1 contestant we would most like to give a cuddle.

After Overload's plucky performance of their happy-go-lucky 'No, No, No' on Sunday's X Factor, we got all nostalgic. We started thinking about all the times an artist has taken the viewer a little bit by surprise and treated us to their own work; shown us little sparks of original songwriting talent in the creative vacuum that can be The X Factor.
Digital Spy looks back at the best five original tracks from over the years, celebrating the acts that had the conviction to eschew the safe, insipid versions of 'One', 'Feeling Good', 'Fast Car' et al and performed original songs on TV's most intimidating, unforgiving talent show.
5. Overload - 'No, No, No'
We've had a few original songs already this year, like party girl Ten Senah's fiery '15 Minutes', but Overload have been an early series highlight, and so 'No, No, No' is straight in at number five.

It's been four years since Simon Cowell was last on the X Factor panel in the UK. In his last series, he introduced the world to One Direction, the ratings were sky high and his show was the only thing people talked about on Monday morning at work.
He returns, after having his Us version of the show flop and dumped, to find that The X Factor is no longer the dominant force in British television.
BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing now reigns supreme in the ratings war and the tabloids and British public seem more interested in melting frozen Alaskas and Mary Berry's opinion on soggy bottoms than his reunion with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini behind the judges' desk.
Series 11 of The X Factor is the biggest challenge that Cowell has faced since he first controversially launched the show, spinning off his new found superstar status on Pop Idol.

The X Factor has helped launch the career of dozens of pop acts over the last decade. It has also given us Chico Time. You win some, you lose some.
Here is our definitive ranking of the 15 most ludicrous acts to ever grace Saturday nights on ITV.
15. Rylan
Rylan was already a regular on the reality TV circuit before The X Factor (he was a runner-up in the Sky Living monstrosity Signed By Katie Price), and he was a little bit more knowing and calculated than genuinely bonkers.
However, even if those floods of tears at Nicole Scherzinger's Judges' Houses were staged, they were staged brilliantly. The perfect I'm-mad-me contestant after a decade of near misses.
14. 2 Shoes
Charley Bird and Lucy Texeira were harmless and fairly innocuous as a pop duo. They spoke only in Essex slang ("Roll!") and insisted on calling each other "shoe", but the most ludicrous...

Chico Slimani and Matt Lapinskas returned to the ice for a special performance at Broadgate ice rink in London last night (February 6).
Chico, who finished in third place on Dancing on Ice in 2012, dug out a pair of his zebra print leggings and donned a captain's hat as he performed on the ice and sang to the crowds.
The former X Factor star also removed his shirt before taking a selfie.
Ex-EastEnders actor and Doi runner-up Matt Lapinskas, who is currently dating professional skater Brianne Delcourt after they were paired together on the ITV show last year, also displayed some impressive moves on the rink.
The pair were joined by ex-rugby player and current Doi All Stars contestant Kyran Bracken. The sports star also won the show in 2007.
Following their performances, the first 100 people to arrive at the event were treated to a skate around the rink with the three stars.

The rumour mill has closed down, we now know the full lineup for the latest Celebrity Big Brother, and we at Digital Spy are rather chuffed, as we got quite a few of them right in our predictions!
There are a couple of surprises in amongst the usual dose of models you'd never heard of, American stars who have probably never heard of Big Brother, and talent from yesteryear desperate for some kind of comeback.
While the celebs get used to their new surroundings, here follows a quick guide to your new friends for the next couple of weeks.

Say it with me now. 'Whooooo?' Here's your token glamour model that you're totally forgiven for never having heard of, unless you're a regular reader of Nuts or Zoo magazine.
Apparently, according to the Channel 5 press release, Casey is "most known for her 34GGs". Most likely in there...

Sam Bailey, Luke Friend and Nicholas McDonald. These are our X Factor final three. The most uninspiring bunch of finalists since the grim days of series four, when Rhydian and Leon duked it out to a bore draw.
And even that series had Same Difference to help lighten the mood.
What have we got this year? We'll have to make do with Nicole Scherzinger waffling on about mushrooms and Sam Bailey's "balls".
This weekend's semi-final saw us bid farewell to Rough Copy, the final act in the competition that didn't have the energy levels and personality of a sloth.
Unfortunately, the trio were just a bit too odd for X Factor voters.
From their leather vests, bow-ties and backpack fancy dress combos to the giddy post-performance interviews with Dermot (did anyone think to point out that their "Rc!" chat sounded a lot like "arsey"?), they were never going to...

There are loads of fun ways to celebrate a tenth birthday. Going bowling, heading to Laserquest or even hiring a clown.
But for The X Factor, they have decided to shun all of these great ideas (Ok, maybe except the last one. Hi Louis!) in favour of something completely different…

But for The X Factor, they have decided to shun all of these great ideas (Ok, maybe except the last one. Hi Louis!) in favour of something completely different…

Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special: BBC One, 7.50pm
At long last the wait is over, the 50th anniversary special episode of Doctor Who is so close we can almost reach out and touch the Tardis (or Matt Smith's face, whichever is preferable).
Expect time travel, suspense and drama - not to mention guest stars aplenty including Billie Piper, Joanna Page and a little-known actor by the name of David Tennant...
The X Factor (10th Anniversary Special): ITV, 8pm
It's not just Doctor Who celebrating a big anniversary, this year is the tenth series of the biggest talent show in the country, and ITV just aren't letting us forget it.
This week each of the contestants will be performing hit singles by past X Factor contestants (we're sure there won't be a dry eye in the house as Sam Bailey takes on 'It's Chico Time') to celebrate 10 years of the show.

It's not just Doctor Who's birthday this weekend - The X Factor is celebrating its tenth anniversary on Saturday and Sunday. Now, here at Digital Spy, we're never one to miss a party, so we strapped on some hats, got stuck into some jelly and ice cream and then sat down for a nice little nostalgia-fest about our favourite X Factor moments from the past decade. Join us as we reminisce about times gone by...

My favourite X Factor moment has to be 'Gummogate', a kerfuffle that saw Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh quarrelling over American independent cinema. Jamie Archer's rendition of 'Crying' during 2009's Movie Week (c'mon, Simon, have you *really* seen that film?) irked Louis so much he seemed to question the very existence of Harmony Korine's cult oddity. This all leads to the question... has Louis seen Spring Breakers?...

We all know the X Factor is a well-oiled money machine, so it comes as no surprise that the show will release a celebratory Greatest Hits collection to get us buying all of those songs we probably already own.
And it got us thinking: wouldn't it be better value for money to have some songs on the collection that we probably don't already own?
The X Factor has produced some forgotten gems and stellar novelty tracks over the years, so we've listed 10 of the best that didn't make the final tracklist below.
Chico: 'It's Chico Time'
Long before Lucy Spraggan and Ella Henderson wowed audiences with their songwriting efforts, we had Chico and his wristwatch. The track shot straight to number one to become one of the UK's finest novelty blow-outs, so we're a bit miffed it didn't make the compilation. Bonus track, maybe?
Leon Jackson: 'Creative'

If you've got a little bit of a sadistic side (and let's be honest, if you watch X Factor every week, then you must) the Judges' Houses round is the apex of the series.
Everyone cries. Half the contestants get their dreams shredded. Sinitta turns up in a bikini. It makes last week's musical chairs twist look like Dora the Explorer.
At this stage the acts are one step away from the Live Shows and the chance to be the next Leona, One Direction, James Arthur or Rikki Loney (ahem). At the same time they're also one step away from rejection, humiliation and having to return to performing back down at the Dog and Duck for a packet of Scampi Fries and half a shandy.
Sharon Osbourne and her Overs category were up first and they were all joined in sunny Los Angeles by a chirpy Robbie Williams.
"I need to have the winner.

The X Factor musical is starting to take shape, and this week Digital Spy got treated to a preview of three chucklesome songs from Harry Hill's much-anticipated show.
Of course, we don't want to completely spoil the experience of I Can't Sing before it opens at the London Palladium next spring, but we couldn't resist sharing with you some of our favourite Simon Cowell-baiting lyrics...
The first song up was 'Please Simon', where an ensemble of X Factor auditionees desperately appeal to the show's version of Cowell, played by ex-EastEnders star Nigel Harman, in a Les Mis 'At The End of the Day' style:
"Please Simon, I won't give up I'll keep trying, every single member of my family is dying."
Ooh, hitting Simon right where it hurts - right in the sob story.
"Please Simon, this is a talent I've mastered, what gives you...

The X Factor is back. Depending on where you stand, either clap your hands and do a gleeful jig or run for the hills. It's going to be on ITV on Saturdays (and Sundays) all the way through to Christmas, so you can either deal with it or lock yourself in a cupboard until New Year's.
This is the 10th year of X Factor and to celebrate ITV are expanding (or stretching thin - depending on your viewpoint) the audition shows across the weekend, a double header, an all-you-can-eat buffet of warbling, belting and Emeli Sandé covers.
After an underwhelming and dour series nine (Rylan, miserable judges, Christopher Maloney), Simon Cowell and the X Factor big cheeses have attempted some format tweaks and twists to try to wrestle back the viewers from Bruce Forsyth and the sequin-clad dancers on BBC One.
The biggest change to the format is a return to closed audition rooms.

"Three words I never thought I'd say... welcome back Sharon!"
The worst kept secret in TV was finally confirmed this morning when ITV and Simon Cowell announced that Sharon Osbourne was on her way back to X Factor.
Louis Walsh let the cat out of the bag earlier this week (good old, Louis) and rumours had been swirling since January that Mrs O kissed and made up with Cowell over those rather embarrassing comments about his allegedly tiddly manhood.
The tabloids and X Factor PR machine are probably already mapping out the plots and bust-ups for the upcoming 10th series of the show: Osbourne and Scherzinger feuding. Osbourne and Barlow clashing. Osbourne and Louis plotting. It's as inevitable as night following day.
But will the public buy into the Osbourne comeback?

Sharon Osbourne has said that she "couldn't be happier" about her return to The X Factor for its upcoming 10th series.
Osbourne, who appeared on the first four series of the show, has been signed up by Simon Cowell and ITV for a comeback alongside Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh.
"I couldn't be happier about coming back for the 10th anniversary of X Factor," said Osbourne.
"I can't wait to give Gary Barlow a big hug, sit next to the gorgeous Nicole, and of course throw water on dear Louis. Yay!"
Osbourne was on the show's original judging panel in 2004, alongside Walsh and Simon Cowell. She has replaced Tulisa Contostavlos on the panel.

Lifetime's "Steel Magnolias" remake dominates the list of this year's NAACP Image Award nominees with seven nods, while "Django Unchained" and "Beasts of the Southern Wild" picked up four each in film categories, and "Grey's Anatomy" and "Treme" nabbed four in TV.
Designed to honor "the accomplishments of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature and film," the annual Image nominations reliably offer up some real headscratchers: Tyler Perry is a best actor contender for "Alex Cross"? Amber Riley is a lead actress on "Glee"? The critically acclaimed "Middle of Nowhere" isn't worth a mention as outstanding independent film?
But there's also welcome, and rare, recognition for HBO's "Treme," plus well-deserved nods across the board for "Django" and "Beasts."
A partial list of this year's nominees in the film and TV categories follows. For a complete list, including music and literary categories, visit the Image Awards official site.

Dancing on Ice star Chico Slimani has claimed that X Factor contestants ruin their chance of success by taking themselves too seriously. The singer, who finished fifth on the show back in 2005, admitted that he successfully capitalised on his reputation as a novelty act and cited Jedward as a similar example. "People take themselves too seriously and forget to be real. If opportunity presents itself on The X Factor, there's a timescale in which you can do it, because next year you have got another lot and nobody remembers," Slimani told The Sun. "After 'Chico Time', I worked with some guys who wrote the song 'Hero' for Enrique Iglesias and worked with Ricky Martin. I wanted to go down that route, but my management saw something different.
