Nikia Kali

Nikia Kali grew up in Philadelphia, where she caught the acting bug at
age 12 while attending Freedom Theater School as a dance major. She
continued to study in workshops and classes in theaters and
universities in the city. At 19 years of age, she performed a lead in
her first play entitled "Women Speak", while attending Pennsylvania
State University as a video production major and theater minor. Her
interest in acting hit its peak when she got the opportunity experience
theater in London during her study abroad. Upon returning to
Philadelphia, Nikia starred and co-starred in several short independent
films, and local theater. In 2003, with only her passion and talent to
sustain her, she moved to the Big Apple to further pursue her acting
career. Since then, Nikia has landed roles in a number of independent
films and local theater productions. Most recently, she has played a
principal role in Comedy Central's "Radar Girlz" and a lead in a new
play with Afrikan Women's Repertory.
