Stormy Daniels took the stand at Donald Trump’s ongoing criminal hush-money trial on Tuesday, and even the former president seemed caught off guard by the news.
Trump posted — then quickly deleted — a furious rant about the prosecution’s plan to call Daniels shortly before The Associated Press reported on it ahead of Tuesday’s proceedings.
“I have just recently been told who the witness is today. This is unprecedented, no time for lawyers to prepare,” the former president wrote. “No Judge has ever run a trial in such a biased and partisan way.

Crystal Hefner — who was married to Hugh Hefner at the time of his death in 2017 — said she needed “deprogramming” after leaving the mansion.
Crystal Hefner was Hugh Hefner’s third (and final) wife
Hugh Hefner’s entire public persona was built around his “player” lifestyle, so there were many women in and out of his life over the years. He had multiple “girlfriends” at a time and infamously took a controlling stance toward their behavior and looks while in his “service.” Dozens of women can claim a personal connection to Hefner,...

When Hugh Hefner died in 2017 at age 91, he left behind his Playboy empire and a legacy that included ushering in the sexual revolution of the 1960s and ’70s (although how that ultimately turned out remains a matter of debate).
Now, Hefner’s widow, Crystal Hefner, is ready to share her own experiences in a new memoir, Only Say Good Things.
Discussing the book with the Daily Mail, the Playboy mogul’s third wife — who wed Hefner in 2012 and remained his spouse until his death — opens up about what it was like to be married to Hef.

The Playboy empire is a subject of extreme controversy, especially in recent years, following the release of a scathing documentary titled Secrets of Playboy. Many critics have labeled founder and figurehead Hugh Hefner, who passed away in 2017, as an alleged perpetrator of sexual abuse and exploitation. Additionally, several of Hefner’s girlfriends have spoken out against the late mogul, with former The Girls Next Door star Holly Madison slamming her late boyfriend for putting a series of strict rules in place that his girlfriends had to follow.

Hefner was born in 1926 and raised in a middle-class family. However, Hefner had big ambitions, leaving his job as a copywriter to found Playboy magazine. The magazine originally featured short stories, essays, and photo spreads, but it quickly became known as a publication for men to salivate over pictures of nude and nearly-nude women.

Actor Anna Faris is known for projects like Mom and Scary Movie. In 2008, she expanded her filmography even further by starring in the cult-classic The House Bunny. But the film would involve a raunchy scene that Faris confided wasn’t supposed to go the way that it did.

The House Bunny was originally Faris’ brainchild. She starred in the movie as playboy bunny Shelley Darlington who had to leave Hugh Hefner’s mansion and operate independently in the real world. Faris came up with the idea on a whim, after a question popped into her head.

The US Open golf championship at the Los Angeles Country Club concluded with Wyndham Clark taking the trophy.
“I just felt like my mom was watching over me today and, she can’t be here and I miss you mom,” Clark said when presented with his trophy. “I just feel like I’ve worked so hard and I’ve dreamed about this moment for so long. There’s been so many times I’ve visualized being here in front of you guys and winning this championship, I just feel like it’s my time.”
Rory McIlroy placed second place and told NBC “It was hard to get the ball really close all day” after coming close to winning.
“I hung in there, I fought right until the end,” he added. “Didn’t quite get the job done but… I’m going to keep coming back until I get another one.

The Hollywood sign is an American landmark that’s come to symbolize glamour and the larger-than-life entertainment business. While it was erected in 1923, it’s seen many changes over the years, including a facelift championed by Playboy founder Hugh Hefner.
While the sign symbolizes hope for many, it’s also seen its share of tragedy over the years, including a suicide from an up-and-coming starlet.
The history of the Hollywood sign The Hollywood sign in 1932 | Bettmann/Contributor
The original sign, built by the Crescent Sign Company, sat high in the hills and read “Hollywoodland.” Around 1922, real estate developers commissioned the company to assemble the structure to help advertise their new development.
The 13 wooden letters were 30 feet wide and 50 feet high and featured 4,000 lightbulbs to help illuminate the sign until it became too expensive. According to the Sherman Library, the entire project cost $23,000 and soon became the main attraction of the entertainment world.

Hal Hefner is an award-winning artist best known for his “Consume” series that serves as acrid social commentary on everything from greed and corruption to narcissism and bigotry; as he says, “It is my artistic weapon.” Hefner had to improvise real-life weapons last May when he was relentlessly attacked on his suburban street by a drug-crazed stranger and the artist’s greatest ally was the memory of Wes Craven films to guide him. But we’ll let Hefner tell you that himself. — Editors

But the deeply woven messages within his films were a driving force in my ability to be a survivor in my own real-life horror movie. With the recent release of Hulu’s Pam & Tommy, a series about Anderson’s relationship with heavy metal musician Tommy Lee, there’s been renewed interest in the ’90s icon. In January, Netflix released the documentary Pamela, A Love Story.

Raquel Welch, the movie star and model Playboy declared "the most desirable woman of the 1970s," has died at the age of 82. According to her manager, Steve Sauer, (via CNN) Welch passed away after a "brief illness."
Welch was a much-buzzed-about Hollywood ingenue throughout the early 1960s before attaining international stardom in 1966's sci-fi classic "Fantastic Voyage" and the prehistoric Hammer flick "One Million Years B.C." While the latter movie did little to enhance her reputation as an actor, the sight of Welch in a two-piece deerskin bikini made her the pin-up heir to Marilyn Monroe.
Welch's physical beauty was undeniable, and she embraced her sex symbol status. But the Latina performer, who adopted her first husband's last name to avoid the kind of typecasting that drove Rita Moreno from Hollywood at the height of her popularity, knew she was more than just a pretty face, and proved it time and again throughout her career.

Pamela Anderson has opened up about her past experiences in a new memoir.
The former Baywatch star has released the new book, which makes several claims about many people from her past, including Tim Allen, and is also the centre of a new Netflix documentary.
While promoting the memoir, Anderson, who has been married six times, revealed details of her former relationships, and explained her decision to marry so many times.
The actor suggested that most of her exes “treated her badly”, telling The Times: “I also would not allow anyone to abuse me and didn’t want my kids to think it was Ok. And so that was always my red line.”
However, she named Playboy publisher Hugh Hefner as the one man she thinks treated her with “complete and utter respect”.
Following Hefner’s death in 2017, Anderson paid tribute, calling him her “friend and mentor”.

Hulu's miniseries "Welcome to Chippendales" takes a deep dive into the early beginnings of Chippendales, the first ever all-men strip club in the United States, and the turbulent years that followed. Established by Somen "Steve" Banerjee in 1979, the club quickly garnered attention from women in the Los Angeles area. The growing buzz spurred Banerjee to briefly partner up with Paul Snider, a local nightclub promoter and husband of Playboy model Dorothy Stratten.
Stratten, played by Nicola Peltz Beckham in the series, was named Playboy's Playmate of the Year in 1980 and a rising star in the modeling and film industries, but her potential was cut short when Snider murdered her in August 1980.
Ahead of "Welcome to Chippendale's" hitting Hulu on Nov. 22, here's a deeper look at the tragic murder of Stratten.

Fans of Downton Abbey actor Dan Stevens will likely find themselves unsettled by his role in Hulu’s new true crime drama, Welcome to Chippendales. Although Stevens has certainly played villains before, and none so iconic as his murdering psychopath David in 2014’s The Guest, in the new limited series from the creator of Pam & Tommy he stars as real life creep Paul Snider, who murdered his wife Dorothy Stratten (Nicola Peltz Beckham) in 1980 and took his own life soon after.
Welcome to Chippendales shows us how Snider first became involved with Chippendales owner Somen ‘Steve’ Banerjee (Kumail Nanjiani) as the legendary male stripping club first evolved in late-70s Los Angeles, but it also reshapes and glosses over the grim true story of Snider and Stratten’s relationship, and uses a brief and shocking moment in one episode...

Former reality star Holly Madison won’t be called to testify during Harvey Weinstein’s Los Angeles rape trial, a judge ruled on Tuesday.
The defense wanted Madison to take the stand in order to undermine testimony from actress Ashley Matthau, one of the uncharged supporting witnesses. Matthau, who’s accusing Weinstein of sexual battery, claims the former mogul masturbated on her at his hotel in 2003 in Puerto Rico, where they were shooting Miramax’s “Dirty Dancing” sequel, “Havana Nights.”
Madison, who dated and lived with Playboy founder Hugh Hefner from 2001 to 2008, is close friends with Matthau. The defense intended on questioning her about the two partying together at the Playboy Mansion to prove that Matthau wasn’t a “young, sexually inexperienced naif” who was unfamiliar with “the ways of Hollywood.”
“They want to portray her as this innocent girl but they don’t want me to ask about all...

Long before Jenny McCarthy launched into her current roles as SiriusXM talk show host and “celebrity detective” on “The Masked Singer”, she was best known as one of Playboy‘s most popular Playmates, appearing on six Playboy covers over the years.

During a recent appearance on the “#NoFilter with Zack Peter” podcast, as reported by TooFab, McCarthy revealed that producers envisioned her in a major role in the docuseries.

Music managers don’t exactly have a sterling reputation in the broad pop-culture consciousness. Casual fans usually only hear about them when there’s serious drama (either personal or financial), and they’re frequently seen as trying to cynically swoop in on the New Hot Thing with only a cursory interest in the art they’re making. But nowadays, with artists being visible 24/7 and the industry undergoing tectonic shifts seemingly every few years, the role of a manager has changed, and so have the people doing it.
