Especially in times like this, a good fright flick can often cure what ails you. A bad one, however, can be a trying thing to sit through. Unfortunately, for a multitude of reasons, the new film Behind You is a bad one. Derivative, lacking in scares, monotonous, and just overall disappointing, it’s a real chore. Despite having some decent performances from the younger actors in the cast, almost nothing lands here. Hitting Digital this weekend, horror fans will be presented with a less than appetizing option. Unless you’re absolutely starved for a genre entry, you can do way better than this. The movie is a horror effort, playing upon the genre’s obsession with the danger that mirrors can hold. After the death of their mother, teenager Olivia (Addy Miller) and her younger sister Claire (Elizabeth Birkner) are being sent to live with their estranged Aunt. Family friend...

Despite such melodramatic flourishes as a near-disaster on a storm-tossed sea, a violent attack on an apostate by a group of religious zealots, and a startling (albeit not entirely convincing) death by lightning bolt, Mitch Davis’ “The Other Side of Heaven II: Fire of Faith” is as tedious as rush-hour traffic and as bland as a communion wafer. It’s conceivable that this sincere but overextended tale of a dedicated Mormon missionary on assignment in the South Pacific might appeal to many of the faithful who flocked to its 2001 predecessor, “The Other Side of Heaven,” another adaptation (also written and directed by Davis) of an autobiographical book by John H. Groberg. But even members of that target audience probably will prefer home-screen viewing to a theatrical experience, since frequent usage of the pause and fast-forward controls can work wonders when it comes to making something this sluggishly paced more bearable.

The Walking Dead made its big return to our screens last night, with season 9 now officially underway. It was a pretty solid premiere, too, which promised a lot of interesting developments to come for Rick and the gang and so far, things are off to a great start.
But as exciting as all that is, this new season will also be overshadowed by a sense of sadness, as this past weekend we lost actor Scott Wilson. As fans know, he played Hershel Greene on the show for a couple of seasons and was also set to return this year – presumably in the form of a flashback or hallucination.
From what we understand, Wilson had already filmed his scenes before passing, so he’ll still pop up at some point during the new run, and ahead of his final appearance on The Walking Dead, fans have now taken to Twitter to...

Review:
Take a look at this cover.
Stare at Danny Trejo. If you do this for five minutes, you’ll have just looked at Danny longer than his accumulated amount of screen time in Zombie Hunter. This movie...
