It's been more than a decade since the 1990s ended, yet the Internet can't seem to go a day without a reminder of the neon slap bracelets that may have been banned from your school.
Yes, we get it. Times are tough and there's comfort in reflection, but enough is enough.
Below, a final goodbye to the 90s to end the nostalgia once and for all. (We're not kidding. There are 1990 items below.)

It’s not often that a factoid contained in a press release really jumps out and grabs you, but a note on Bobby Sheehan‘s upcoming documentary Doctored is certainly worthy of a major double-take. Did you know that, although the U.S. makes up only 5% of the world’s population, we consume over 50% of all the world’s pharmaceutical drugs? Whoa, right? It’s that incredibly fact that’s at the heart of Sheehan’s compelling and often surprising film. Doctored centers on the chiropractic profession, “labeled as quacks and cultists,” and the long struggle chiropractors have faced at the hands of businesses and organizations like the Ama. The film illuminates “historical events such as the Wilk vs. American Medical Association case in which the Ama was found guilty of an illegal conspiracy to ‘contain and eliminate’ the chiropractic profession.” Talk about doctored. The film includes interviews with surgeons, MD...

I’ve been critical of Metta World Peace in the past. He’s done some outlandish and unsportsmanlike things during his NBA journey, which started in 1999 and took him through five different cities. But I have to tip my hat at his latest adventure. World Peace has been in L.A. since 2009 and now it appears he’s going a little Hollywood.
Metta had a guest stint on the Nickelodeon TV show Yo Gabba Gabba where he competed in the Yo Gabba Olympics, and wouldn’t you know it he came in first place, just edging out Toodee and Mrs. Fox. He even had the opportunity to be coached up by his 8 year old daughter Diamond, who joined him on the show.
If the revamped Lakers can get Metta World Peace to play as focused and determined as he is while competing in the Yo Gabba Olympics, then Los Angeles...

Here we go again. Today we take a look at the next five players on our list of the top 30 players in the NBA today. With superstars like LeBron James and Kevin Durant out of the way, we can really delve into the realm of opinion and I would be genuinely surprised if you completely agreed with me on all these choices as even I second-guessed myself while making these selections.
Without further ado, here you go:
11. Deron Williams - Brooklyn Nets
He was once considered one of the top point guards in the league, if not the best. Williams had possessed an all-round skillset that no other point guard in the league had at the time. Without a doubt, Williams was the closest thing to the great John Stockton.
Things began to go downhill though as his contract with the Jazz neared its ending. Williams was traded to the...

A week ago, this question would have been much easier to answer. Without a championship ring under his belt, LeBron James is merely an explosive all-round forward, a physical specimen and a great player. That is not to say that such a description isn’t impressive, but in the history of NBA many have been considered “great.”
With a ring under his belt however, LeBron James has vaulted himself onto a list of some of the greatest NBA players of all time. Many will argue that he isn’t quite there yet, and that is debatable, but no one can argue that his dominating performances throughout the 2011-2012 playoffs didn’t give him an extraordinary boox.
To begin, it would be advantageous to list players that are definitely above LeBron James. Also, I apologize in advance if certain legends are omitted, but due to the sheer number of greats, it...

No one wants to acknowledge why the NBA is losing popularity. Buzz Bissinger on why white fans have trouble getting excited about African-American athletes.
My editor thinks I should write something about professional basketball. The timing is certainly right-the National Basketball Association's All-Star extravaganza starts today in Los Angeles, culminating in the All-Star game on Sunday night.

The problem is, I don't really know what to say about the NBA other than I almost never watch it anymore.
I am not a basketball junkie and I have no desire to be one. There are maybe three players I would pay to watch. The first is LeBron James of the Miami Heat, because whatever you think, and I think a lot less after his free-agency melodrama despite writing a book with him, he is the best athlete in the world today.

Mel Turpin, a former NBA player, has died of apparent suicide. He was 49.
The 6-foot-11 player was found in his North Lexington, Kentucky house Thursday afternoon (July 8) when police responded to a personal injury call, reports the San Francisco Chronicle. His wife was not home at the time.
There was no word on how Turpin commit suicide or whether he left a note.
According to the New York Times, his sister Margaret Burrus had said Turpin was trying to keep his diabetes in check.
Melvin Harrison "Mel" Turpin was born in Lexington in December 1960. As a center, he had a strong college basketball career and then became the sixth player picked in the 1984 NBA draft that also included Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, John Stockton and Charles Barkley.

It's hard to listen to a filthy-rich man complain about the price of tickets for his enshrinement in his sport's hall of fame. But that, among other cringe-worthy moments is exactly what Michael Jordan did. Friday's ceremony in Springfield, Mass., inducting not just Mj but also C. Vivian Stringer, Jerry Sloan, John Stockton and David Robinson, was reportedly moved to a larger venue to accommodate the number of people who wanted to watch it all. And Jordan duly noted that the price seemed four times higher than he remembered, just in time for him to have to purchase a whole host of them for his family and friends. Uncomfortable as much of the speech made me, I was riveted to the screen. Jordan doesn't often put himself in positions to be candid when the greater public is listening. What we see is mostly golf...
