Taught math at a high school in New York when he was 24. He founded his
own software company at the age of 26, and was only 31 when he
co-founded Futuroscope, an open-air science park in Poitou-Charentes,
France. He is also a science fiction author whose novels Softwar
(1984), Vatican III (1985), and Netwar (1987) have been translated into
25 languages.
