Katie Cassidy (Arrow), Devon Sawa (Idle Hands), Kate Bosworth (Blue Crush), Tyrese Gibson (Morbius), and Chris Backus (Mindhunter) lead the cast of the survival thriller Fallout, which recently wrapped production in New Jersey. The movie was directed by Cecil Chambers (Due Season), who also crafted the screenplay with Michael Miceli (The Bounty Hunter).
Fallout tells the story of, yes, “the fallout” when a nuclear threat forces six people into a malfunctioning underground bunker. Tensions soon rise as they fight to stay alive. With oxygen and the trust in each other quickly running out, they learn that a more sinister plan is afoot. It’s interesting to see that the story involves six people being trapped in one location, but only the names of five actors have been announced. Who is the sixth person in that bunker?

After finding his family murdered by vagrant squatters, an ex-military operative and survivalist is hired by the man who bought his land to watch over the acreage and protect it from invaders. When the new landowner’s daughter arrives for a weekend getaway with her friends, the trip turns deadly when they discover the caretaker’s dark secret – rather than driving off trespassers, he’s hunting them in cold blood.
A group of college kids on spring break, driving out to the middle of nowhere to stay for a holiday of fun filled fun? Must be a horror film then! Despite starting like so many other films in its genre, Desecrated does, thankfully, provide an interesting viewing experience once it gets going. Ben, played by Gonzalo Menendez,...

The particularly nasty Desecrated – coming at you from director Rob Garcia and writer Cecil Chambers – is a slasher film with all the usual ingredients you’d find in such a film – nubile ladies, nasty deaths and quite a sick attitude to the horror itself.
Desecrated’s story is an interest beast though. Never mind the fancy heiress and her group of friends heading to her father’s house for a weekend getaway only to find dark secrets – that part is fairly routine. What’s interesting here with the story is that it’s looking at someone deeply troubled with Pdst and riffing on how that could manifest.
Don’t be alarmed – I haven’t ruined the plot, as it’s an element referenced pretty early on and definitely not all there is to the rather surprising story.
What slasher fans need to realise is...
