The Weinstein Company announced that they will be releasing their benefit concert documentary "12-12-12" in New York and Los Angeles theaters on Friday, November 1st. The documentary goes behind the scenes at the concert which took place at Madison Square Garden on December 12th, 2012. Collectively, the talent featured in the documentary helped to raise over $50 million in one night for the Robin Hood Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund. The Robin Hood Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund, founded in 1988, has focused on funding programs and schools that generate meaningful results for families in New York's poorest neighborhoods. Melbourne, May 7: Bill Clinton asked the British rock group Led Zeppelin to get back together last year for the Superstorm Sandy benefit concert in New York City but they said no.

Robin Hood – New York’s largest private poverty-fighter – announced today that combined VIP tickets sales and donations made via texts from Friday night’s Black Eyed Peas concert in Central Park, donations on robinhood.org as well as ticket proceeds from Sting’s 25th anniversary/60th birthday concert at the Beacon Theatre on Saturday night, raised more than $7 million to fight poverty in New York City. Following a rained-out New York concert in June that sent tens of thousands of disappointed fans to Central Park’s exits, the Black Eyed Peas have rescheduled their performance for Friday (Sept. 30).
The promoters are nervously eyeing the weather forecasts.
“As of right now, the forecast says zero percent chance of rain,” said David Saltzman, executive director of the Robin Hood Foundation, the beneficiary of the free concert. “But of course that could change.
