What do you get when you combine a carton of eggs, a stripper, a gold Cadillac Eldorado convertible, Macklemore and his grandmother? The music video for his latest single, “Glorious.”
The rapper, 34, surprised his Grandma Helen (who is beloved by his fans) in Modesto, California to celebrate her 100th birthday. If the sweet surprise wasn’t enough, Macklemore spent the day granting every one of Grandma Helen’s wishes.

You probably recognize Mary Lambert from her history-making moment at this year's Grammys, when she sang her part on Macklemore & Ryan Lewis's "Same Love" as Madonna and Queen Latifah presided over 33 gay and straight weddings. Now, Mary is striking out on her own with the release of her first studio album, Heart on My Sleeve. The soulful singer has already built a devoted fan base with her unabashedly honest lyrics and powerful voice - watch our interview to learn more about this pop star on the verge.

People might love a good overnight success story, but in truth, Mary Lambert's isn't one. The 25-year-old was well known in the spoken-word poetry scene - even performing on an HBO special as a teen - and had been independently releasing her own music before fellow Seattleites Macklemore and Ryan Lewis asked her to pen the hook to what would become their radio hit "Same Love." Of course, the mainstream ode to marginalized romance propelled her to a new kind of fame, the kind that culminates in a surreal mass wedding presided over by Queen Latifah and Madonna at the VMAs. Now, with her first full-length studio album, Heart on My Sleeve, on the verge of release, Mary is in a position to spread her gospel of self-acceptance to an even wider audience. She has always mined her own experiences, both painful and redemptive, in her bluntly confessional - but ultimately hopeful - music.

There’s a saying that you’re only as sick as your secrets. If that’s the case, then Mary Lambert is very, very healthy. On her new single, “Secrets,” the singer best know for her feature on Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Same Love,” proudly declares all her secrets: she’s bi polar, her family is dysfunctional, sometimes she cries all day, and some less secret ones— she’s overweight and gay. All these confessions are sung over an impossibly jaunty tune as she refreshingly reveals all in the lyric video. “‘Secrets’ might be the first fun song I’ve ever written,” says Lambert. And, indeed, the bouncy track has an irrepressible Katy Perry, “Roar” vibe. She co-wrote the track with Eric Rosse, Benny Cassette and MoZella. Rosee and Cassette are also executive producers on her new album, “Heart On My Sleeve,” out Oct. 14 on Capitol Records. The song is about accepting yourself,...

• Remind yourself of Madonna's last effort behind the camera
Despite the critical and commercial failure of her last directorial effort, W.E., Madonna is to return to film directing with Adé: A Love Story, an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Rebecca Walker.
Walker, the daughter of The Color Purple author Alice Walker, published the novel last year. It concerns a pair of Us students travelling in Kenya, one of whom falls in love with a local man, Adé – she adopts an Arabic name, and tries to adjust to a new life in unfamiliar surroundings, before encountering cultural friction as the pair try to visit the Us. Armchair psychologists might point to parallels with Madonna's life: the singer moved to the UK to live with film-maker husband Guy Ritchie,...

After Macklemore & Ryan Lewis performed "Same Love" at the Grammy Awards, more than 30 couples lined up in the aisles to say "I do." With Queen Latifah as the officiant, the couples stood holding hands and exchanged wedding bands. Afterward, Madonna hit the stage in a white tuxedo-inspired outfit to sing "Open Your Heart," and actress Anna Kendrick snapped an up-close photo of the nuptials from her seat. The mass wedding marked a particularly special moment for Ryan Lewis, because his sister, Laura, and her fiancé were among the couples. Ryan called it "a night that is already tremendous for me, for the music," adding, "but to have my sister get married and my family there watching it - that makes it a whole other level of amazing." It’s hard to believe in the sanctity of the Grammys when it’s possible to have, like, 17 of them. (Ahoy, Beyonce.) Katharine Hepburn didn’t have 17 Oscars. Hell, we’re on the fence about giving Meryl a fourth. But if you stick around long enough and maintain a baseline level of radio palatability, you’re likely to pick up a trophy every couple of years. Sheryl Crow has nine, you know what I mean?
But even if you’re a major skeptic, you couldn’t have hated too many of the chosen winners from the 56th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night. I, for one, relished in Kathy Griffin‘s first win for Best Comedy Album. The woman is an unstoppable force of neurotic, popcult nerd flavor, and she remains as audacious now as she was when she outlasted Stephen Baldwin on Celebrity Mole: Hawaii.

During the 56th annual Grammy Awards, Macklemore, Ryan Lewis and Mary Lambert performed "Same Love," eventually joined by Madonna, turning it into a mash-up with "Open Your Heart," while Queen Latifah performed a wedding ceremony for 34 same-sex couples on stage.
It was a beautiful moment, leaving nary a dry eye in the house or at home. And while we weren't surprised at all to see many celebs wiping away tears, as both country music and "American Idol" fans, we loved seeing Keith Urban as one of those people tearing up. All together now: awwwww.
Urban also took to the stage for the 2014 Grammys, when earlier in the night he performed new song "Cop Car," the third single off his 2014 album "Fuse," with Gary Clark Jr. Video of that performance below.
