With Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) coming back to Grey Sloan during the April 4 episode of Grey’s Anatomy, we’ve all wondered if Callie (Sara Ramírez) will join her. Well, Season 20 showrunner Meg Marinis has the answer: Unfortunately, Callie will not appear in the episode. Marinis told TV Line that “there are so many [alumni], and everyone has busy careers and schedules,” so Ramírez was unable to return. Arizona’s reason for coming back to Grey Sloan is “really connected” to her specialty as a pediatric surgeon, so it “made sense” in this case for Callie’s absence. “We have an open-door policy here,” Marinis said about former cast members returning. “We always want to see old characters come back and interact with the new characters.” According to ABC’s description of Season 20 Episode 4, Arizona “returns to Grey Sloan for a particularly complicated case. The interns are interrogated about their past mistakes, while...

Before Steve Brady (David Eigenberg) and Che Diaz (Sara Ramírez) came along on Sex and the City, there was Skipper Johnston (Ben Weber). Miranda was certain from the beginning that Skipper was not her type, but he was persistent. Now that the hit HBO series is available to binge on Netflix, you might be thinking about Skipper again. He only appeared in the first two seasons, but he remains a divisive character amongst Sex and the City fans. Scroll down to get a refresher on all things Skipper Johnston and what Weber’s up to today. What happened to Skipper? Skipper made his first appearance in the pilot episode of Sex and the City. And just like that … we’ve seen the last of Che. Sara Ramírez will not be back as their character, standup comedian Che Diaz, for And Just Like That… Season 3 on Max, according to Variety. Production on the new episodes is slated to begin later in 2024, with a premiere date right now set for 2025. This isn’t too surprising, given that Ramírez did write “the last character I played” in a post on Instagram in January; speculation began then that they would not be reprising their role as Che on the Max series, a sequel to HBO’s Sex and the City. According to Variety’s sources, “the Che character had reached a natural conclusion,” hence Ramírez’s exit. That is true. Since Che and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) were no longer together at the end of Season 2, there’s no need to address where they stand. Plus, Che could easily...

Che Diaz is moving out of And Just Like That.
Sara Ramírez, the star who has played the controversial character on Max’s Sex and the City offshoot for its first two seasons, will not return for the upcoming third season of the series. Sources caution that while scripts are still being written, there’s always a potential for Ramírez to pop in for an episode.
The internet has speculated for weeks that Ramírez, who previously played Grey’s Anatomy fan-favorite Callie Torres, would not be returning for Ajlt’s upcoming season following a string of posts on their social media. A month ago, Ramírez shared a post in which they seemed to allege that Ajlt introduced Che — the franchise’s first nonbinary character — as a way not to be inclusive but rather as “performative” lip service toward the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

Looks like the internet won’t have Che Diaz to kick around anymore. According to multiple sources, Sara Ramírez won’t be returning to “And Just Like That” for its third season, which starts production later this year for a 2025 premiere on Max.
Ramírez has played nonbinary standup comedian Che Diaz since Season 1, during which the character became a meme-generating object of mockery. In a cover story interview for Variety‘s Pride issue in June 2022, Ramírez said they had tried to avoid the online commentary. “Other people’s opinions of a character — that’s not something I can allow into my process,” they said. “I choose what I receive, right? That’s the beauty of being grown — I don’t have to receive everything!”

Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Aidan (John Corbett) are back in their love bubble. Their reunion is reminiscent of when the pair first got together in Sex and the City Season 3, before Big (Chris Noth) and the weight of real commitment ruined everything. In And Just Like That… Season 2, Episode 8, “A Hundred Years Ago,” Carrie and Aidan rarely leave bed, and when they do, it’s to cook together with a big blue pot in Che’s (Sara Ramírez) kitchen, the kind of cute things that couples do together when things are still fresh.

Spoiler Alert: This interview contains spoilers from the first two episodes of Season 2 of “And Just Like That,” now streaming on Max.
When it came to making the second season of “And Just Like That” — Max’s popular revival of HBO’s iconic “Sex and the City” — showrunner Michael Patrick King found that he simply couldn’t fit what he and the writers had planned into the standard 10-episode season Max was expecting.
After all, “Sex and the City” stars Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) had been joined by four new main characters, played by Nicole Ari Parker (Lisa Todd Wexley), Karen Pittman (Nya), Sara Ramírez (Che Diaz) and Sarita Choudhury (Seema). “Are you an Aidan person or a Big person?” Michael Patrick King asks, shortly after his face appears via Zoom from New York.
When his Sex and the City sequel And Just Like That returns for its second season June 22, the showrunner is hopeful that this now decades-old debate will be had anew. After all, when the show’s second season trailer dropped earlier this month, it revealed that Aidan would be returning to the show, and to Carrie Bradshaw’s life. Instantly, it became one of two major plot points that has monopolized the media dialogue surrounding the show. The other: the return of Kim Cattrall‘s Samantha, who reportedly filmed her single-page scene in secret — without King or her former co-stars — earlier this year.
In mid-June, King spoke candidly about the return of both, along with his concerted effort to add dimension and humanity to the other characters in his now expansive cast.

Carrie Bradshaw is moving on in the return of And Just Like That.
The official trailer for season two of the hit HBO sequel series to Sex and the City picks up more than one year after Big’s (Chris Noth) sudden death and sees Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) focused on moving on. Not only has she realized how to use her kitchen (“Did you know stoves aren’t just for storage?” she asks), but she’s also dating and reaching out to the former flame that viewers have been waiting for.
Toward the end of the nearly two-minute first look (below), Carrie sends Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) an email. A closer look reveals the note reads: “Hey Stranger … Remember me? If this is still your email, it’s me — Carrie. Was just thinking about you the other day … and I wondered how you were doing. So, how ya doing?...

Carrie Bradshaw is moving on, and moving up.
The latest trailer for “Sex and the City” revival series “And Just Like That” teases the return of Aidan (John Corbett) as Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) deepens her dating pool following the death of her husband Mr. Big (Chris Noth). Best friends Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) juggle parenthood with sex and marriage with middle age, all in the Big Apple.
The new sneak peek at the season comes on the stiletto heels of the major announcement that Kim Cattrall will be reprising her iconic role of Samantha in a sole scene for the second season. Famed costume designer Patricia Field is also back to dress the PR maven, who has since relocated to London and was communicating with Carrie only via text message.
Showrunner Michael Patrick King previously said in February 2022 that Cattrall was never considered to appear in “Ajlt.

“And Just Like That” some more familiar faces are joining the cast of the “Sex and the City” reboot for season 2.
Per Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Michael Patrick King has confirmed that Candice Bergen, who played Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker)’s Vogue editor, Enid Frick, in “Satc” and the first of the first of the franchise’s films, is officially reprising her role.
“Candice Bergen is back as Enid, which we’re thrilled about because I always loved Enid,” King told the magazine. “She is a cold, wonderful diva of publishing.”
Last viewers saw Enid was in the “Sex and the City” movie in 2008. Fans of the film recall Enid asking Carrie to model in Vogue as the magazine’s “The Last Single Girl” for their bridal issue, ahead of her wedding to the now deceased “Mr. Big” (Chris Noth).

It's almost time for Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Aidan's (John Corbett) big reunion, and we're already counting down the days.
HBO Max announced And Just Like That.., its wildly successful Sex and the City follow-up, will return for its second season in June.
Unfortunately, we didn't find out which day in June it will be back, but still, it will be back.
Hooray, right?
The teaser trailer also puts Carrie and Aidan back together, which should make for a fun dynamic.
The jumping-off point for the revival season focused on Carrie's reaction to Mr. Big's death (Chris Noth), and her attempt to rebuild her life.
It's unclear how many episodes John Corbett will be sticking around for, but it's hard to imagine this being a short-term affair.
Corbett initially appeared on Sex and the City Season 3 and stayed with the series until the sixth and final season.

And Just Like That … what’s old is new again.
The second season of the Sex and the City sequel series returns June 22 with 11 episodes on Max, and the premiere announcement came with a revealing first-look trailer at what’s in store when Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) return.
In the footage below, Carrie reveals she’s been having “exit out of grief” sex and says life is too short not to try something new. That’s when Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) appears on her doorstep.
“And just like that, I realized some things are better left in the past. But maybe not everything,” Carrie teases in voiceover as her former flame makes his anticipated return to the franchise.
Elsewhere in the trailer, Miranda’s romance with Sara Ramírez’s Che continues, and the trio is seen expanding their brunch reservation as Sarita Choudhury,...

HBO Max has dropped the Season 2 teaser for “And Just Like That,” its successful revival of “Sex and the City.” The company also announced the show will premiere in June, without announcing the specific date yet — at that point, the streamer will simply be known as Max.
The teaser, narrated by Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), begins with a very “Sex and the City” sentiment: “No matter what life hands you, you can always count on your closest friends to be there.” We then see a montage of scenes that reveal the current relationships of Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Che (Sara Ramírez) and Carrie and her podcast producer, Franklin (Ivan Hernandez). “It’s just sex!” Carrie says.
“And just like that,” Carrie continues, “I realized some things are better left in the past. But maybe… not everything.”
Which is when we see Carrie’s ex-boyfriend Aidan (John Corbett) appear on her stoop.
