Graduated from Illinois State University (2002) with a degree in
Acting.
Has a 1st degree black belt in Tang Soo Do, a Korean form of Karate.
Prefers cruising on his motorcycle, wearing jeans and a T-shirt, and
being outside.
Interned at the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago for one year. During his
internship he acted in Tony Kushner's Homebody/Kabul directed by Frank
Galati, and was the Assistant Director for Richard Greenberg's The
Violet Hour directed by Terry Kinney.
Attended four high schools, three in Indiana and one in Chicago,
Illinois.
Born Raymond Benjamin Kurut. Raymond is the name of his maternal
grandfather, Raymond Rogers. Benjamin is the name of his paternal
grandfather, Benjamin Kurut.
He was nominated for a 2005 Joseph Jefferson Award Citation for Actor in a Principal Role in a Play for "Cry Havoc" at the Bailiwick Repertory Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.
