Larry David has found another adversary.
The Curb Your Enthusiasm creator and star gets into it with Hymnson Chan in a two-episode arc.
Chan, whose character works in a Chinese restaurant, appears in the fifth and sixth episode of the final season of the HBO comedy.
Chan won a SAG Awards for his stunt work in Avengers: Endgame and has appeared in series such as I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson, Grey’s Anatomy, Kidding, Shameless, Key & Peele and Jane The Virgin. He also recurred in Syfy’s Underlying.
Chan is David’s latest nemesis in the final season of Curb; Sharlto Copley played Michael Fouchay, a South African businessman who questions David’s cordiality, and Coda’s Troy Kotsur plays himself who gets into an argument on the golf course with Larry.

Ahead of our exclusive preview screening of Into The Storm next week (win tickets here) we have an exclusive Q&A with two of the stars of the movie, Jon Reep and Kyle Davis. How did you become involved with this project? Jon Reep: Well, just got an audition, and I went in for the audition. And I cried. Which was a good thing at the time, because there was a scene, which unfortunately didn't make it into the film, where our characters are running from the storm. We go hide into a bank. And we go under this desk, and we're praying for our lives. We're praying to God-- it was a real moment with God. And we were just bawling. And then got the part based on that. And then they cut that part out. Kyle Davis: And honestly, same audition. I went in there, had...

Jon Reep and Kyle Davis play tornado chasers in New disaster film "Into the Storm." But they're not after storms with cameras for science or the safety of others. They're just backwoods "Jackass" type dudes who want to be famous on YouTube. And they'd like to stay intoxicated if they can. Yeah, they're the guys you just wait to be sucked up into a twister and perish due to their own stupidity. Reep and Davis were pretty good at it, too. But the comic actors have done far scarier stuff in life than survive a throng of wind machines. "Being a stand-up comic, the first time... I didn't get very many laughs," Reep admitted. "People laughed at me for sucking so hard." But, hey, "it counts." Watch the rest of our Nsfw interview about fear and a warning from Davis to be careful out there. "Into the Storm" is in theaters Friday (Aug.

In 1996 producer Steven Spielberg and director Jan de Bont jump-started the Summer box office (May 10, that’s still Spring, for goodness sake!) with the release of the thriller Twister (not based on the classic Milton Bradley game, of course). The film was a big hit and sparked a brief revival in the major studio disaster flicks similar to the Irwin Allen-produced crowd-pleasers of the 1970′s. Movie technology has advanced by leaps and bounds since then, and now mass-destruction is at the fingertips of most film makers, really just a few computer keyboard clicks away. The superheroes and giant robots have been trashing towns and cities long enough, it’s time for Mother Nature to strut her stuff once more. That may be part of the thought behind the new film Into The Storm, which has its roots in that almost 20 year-old flick and the proliferation of the basic cable...

It's not often the main characters in a movie are not played by the actors. I'd say it's even less frequent the main characters aren't even the special effects. That being said, I think Into the Storm may be the first film I've ever seen where the main characters are the cameras and yet, I still have a hard time calling this a found footage film, but the cameras are certainly the closest thing to actors you'll find in this travesty as CG thunder clouds and tornadoes make up the rest of the running time. In an era where made for TV movies such as this have found their place on the SyFy channel with the likes of Sharknado and Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda it's somewhat amazing to think a studio would even consider spending the additional money to beef up the effects and put it on the big screen. Watching...

Last year in Oklahoma a famous father-and-son team of storm chasers were heard screaming, “We’re going to die! We’re going to die!” on a Highway Patrol radio moments before they were indeed killed by one of the savage twisters they’d devoted their lives to following.
Storm chasers are single-minded in their pursuit of danger, willing to risk all for the thrill of the hunt, and in the new movie Into the Storm, Matt Walsh plays just such a character. He’s Pete, a TV reality star who endangers his crew when one of the biggest storms of all time hits the rural town of Silverton.
While the subject matter is serious, behind the scenes Walsh was dealing with a comedy of errors he couldn’t help but laugh at. In the film his fortress on wheels is Titus, a storm-proof tank that can roll its way through anything.

Jon Reep and Kyle Davis portray a couple of good ole. boys who are trying to find YouTube fame in their latest feature Into The Storm. Both actors are so damn good as Reevis and Donk that it is almost shocking to realize they are nothing like their on-screen personas. The characters are the type of guys who you can easily find trying whatever they can to get a little attention, and both Reep and Davis capture these colorful personalities perfectly. The latest trailer for the upcoming movie Into the Storm shows the terrifying and devastating effects of tornados. I'm glad I don't live in an area that is subject to these monstrous tornados. The movie looks incredibly intense, and I have to see it. We haven't seen a decent tornado movie since Twister, and l don't care what anyone says, I loved Twister. And No! Sharknado doesn't count. This looks like it will be an entertaining popcorn flick.
The movie was directed by Steven Quale (Avatar - second unit), and it stars Richard Armitage (The Hobbit) and Sarah Wayne Callies (The Walking Dead). The story focuses on a small town that is hit by one of the most chaotic storms ever. Here's a more detailed synopsis:

While this weekend's "Transformers: Age Of Extinction" spends a lot of money and time to explode things with shiny robots in big metropolitan cities, sometimes it's just the weather that can be worrisome. As anyone who has even glimpsed at the news knows, a tornado can wreak deadly havoc with little more than rain or wind. So of course, Hollywood—more than fifteen years after "Twister"—is getting ready to make another tornado tentpole. "Into The Storm" is coming and a new trailer has arrived for the disaster movie. The premise is simple: over the course of a single day, the town of Silverton is met upon the fury of an unprecedented number of tornadoes. And behind the craziness is "Final Destination 5" director Steven Quayle, who knows a thing or two about putting people into absurd danger. Starring Richard Armitage, Sarah Wayne Callies, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Arlen Escarpeta, Nathan Kress,...

What do you get when you combine sharks and a tornado, and then remove the sharks? You get Into the Storm, an upcoming disaster movie that is curiously free of man-eating fish, fish-eating octopi, octopi-eating megalodons, or any recognizable actors. The result is a pretty generic-looking movie that seems aimed primarily at the kind of people who watch The Weather Channel hoping to see someone swept out to sea.
Here’s the official line on the film from its press release:

So apparently I didn't read the first email from New Line properly when it came to the Into the Storm "trailer" I posted yesterday. That was only a trailer for the trailer that would be online today... and here it is in all its destructive glory. Into the Storm is a new 3D, tornado disaster feature directed by Steven Quayle and starring Richard Armitage (The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug), Sarah Wayne Callies ("The Walking Dead"), Matt Walsh (Ted), Alycia Debnam-Carey (Where the Devil Hides), Arlen Escarpeta (Final Destination 5), Nathan Kress ("iCarly"), Jon Reep (Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay) and Jeremy Sumpter (Soul Surfer ). I just skimmed through the trailer and saw a lot of destruction, fiery twisters and planes being taken out. I guess when a film focuses on disaster and destruction it actually makes sense the antagonist would be a tornado. The question is, if...

What on Earth is "Into The Storm"? To be honest, we had no idea about this one either, but Warner Bros. is starting to get the word out about this presumably modestly budgeted disaster flick, in which a tornado wreaks some tremendous havoc. Starring Richard Armitage, Sarah Wayne Callies, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Arlen Escarpeta, Nathan Kress, Jon Reep and Jeremy Sumpter this one follows a single, deadly day in the town of Silverton where cyclone tornados lay out a path of popcorn ready destruction, while one storm chaser follows it all for the shot of a lifetime. Steven Quayle, the man behind "Final Destination 5," is not stranger to outlandish spectacle and death, with this one more than adequately set up for some ludicrous peril. Whether audiences will be excited or not remains to be seen. But find out on August 8th and watch the new trailer below.

"Last Comic Standing" crowned its seventh winner Monday night (Aug. 9), with Felipe Esparza taking home the title and a $250,000 prize.
Esparza beat out Tommy Johnagin for the title in NBC's two-hour season finale. Roy Wood Jr. came in third place.
Esparza had a relatively easy road to the finals -- he only really had to sweat it out two weeks ago, when he and Rachel Feinstein were the last two left. He got the pass to the next round, though, and on Monday night viewers voted him the best of this season's crop. He joins past winners Iliza Shlesinger -- who also performed Monday -- Jon Reep, Josh Blue, Alonzo Bodden, John Heffron and Dat Phan.
He'll also get an NBC talent deal in addition to his quarter million bucks.

New York -- It's not your father's comedy business anymore.
Production and management firm Generate is taking more control of comedy content in the digital age and pushing it across various platforms with the launch of Degenerate, a label co-branded with distribution partner Warner Bros. Records.
It is developing content from established and up-and-coming comedians, including ones represented by Generate's talent division, and distributing it across platforms in the form of TV specials, DVDs, CDs and digital offerings. Touring blitzes by featured talent also are part of the equation.
The template for the label is the successful Blue Collar Comedy brand, which also is distributed by Warner Bros. Records. Degenerate will feature more metropolitan comedy though.
