Some of The Beatles‘ songs are among the best rock tunes of all time. Despite this, they released some garbage here and there. Notably, their final No. 1 single was tripe.
The Beatles | Getty Images 5. ‘The Long and Winding Road’
“The Long and Winding Road” and “For You Blue” were released as a double A-side single. According to The Billboard Book of Number 1 Hits, those songs were the band’s final No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100.
“The Long and Winding Road” was a terrible ending to the Fab Four’s saga. After innovating for years, the band left us with a sappy easy-listening ballad that could easily have been written by Barry Manilow or Michael Bolton. The track was also a bridge between Paul’s work with The Beatles and Wings’ worst tendencies. There’s a reason why “Yesterday” and “Something” remain standards while “The Long and Winding Road” was mostly left in the dust.

On Wednesday’s “The Late Show,” Stephen Colbert had on Dr. Anthony Fauci as a guest. But instead of a traditional interview, the pair taped a fairly fun sketch to promote the latest Covid-19 vaccine booster. You can watch the whole clip at the top of the page now.
In the sketch, Colbert and Fauci left “The Late Show” studio and walked down to a pharmacy so that Fauci could get the latest booster shot. On the way, Colbert had some fun by asking Fauci to prove he’s a native New Yorker by repeating some famous catch phrases associated with the city.

Jimmy Kimmel talked about several weirder details about Maggie Haberman’s new Donald Trump biography in his monologue on Wednesday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live — most notably very off-putting stories about Trump’s love life, including one that involved a Michael Bolton concert.
Haberman received a lot of criticism for the new book, “Confidence Man,” because it would seem there were instances of her learning information of national importance while writing it that she held back from the public to make her book juicier.
But not everything in that book was stuff she could have reported sooner than she did. Some of it is gossipy and weird and somewhat funny info that really fleshes out the character of a man who tried to overthrow the government when he lost an election. Like the stuff Kimmel talked about.

A serial killer's violent impulses live on through voodoo in The Devil's Dolls, coming out in select theaters and on VOD and digital platforms on September 16th, and we caught up with director Padraig Reynolds in our latest Q&A feature to discuss the making of his southern-set horror movie.
Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions for us, Padraig. What attracted you to the story of The Devil’s Dolls?
Padraig Reynolds: I’m a big fan of voodoo films such as Serpent and the Rainbow and Venom. So when I read The Devil’s Dolls, I thought it would be a great opportunity to do something fresh and exciting in a genre that not too many movies are made about.
Christopher Wiehl co-wrote, produced, and stars in the film. What was it like working with Wiehl, who seemed very invested in the character of Matt?...

Popular teen web drama Miss Behave has finished its second season with "an ending so secretive that most of the cast didn't even know about."
"It wasn't in the script," says creator Susan Bernhardt. "We purposely left it out to keep the cliffhanger under wraps." But the Miss Behave team wants to make sure their fans stick around long enough to see the big Season Two twist. They've strategically placed the final scene of the season after the credits start rolling; it's safe to say that you don't want to close your browser too quick. Just when you think it's over – it's most definitely not.
The finale episode will also feature familiar faces with the return of Eric Martsolf as movie star Marcus Dunne, Patrika Darbo as Dr. Freed and Jacee Jule as her loyal receptionist, Kristina. In addition, Tori and cousin Alex (portrayed by Jillian Clare and James Rustin...

The new film "Letters To God" is advertised as being from one of the producers of "Facing the Giants." If this is true then I wish the makers of "Letter" had learned the "Facing the Giants" lesson. That being you don't need to beat people over the head with religion in order to make your point. "Letters To God" keeps letting the story be interrupted by the sponsor, which in this case is Christianity. The core story concerns a young boy named Tyler (Tanner Maguire) who has a malignant brain tumor. He is taking chemotherapy which may or may not work. His father is recently deceased and that leaves his mother Maddie (Robin Lively) with the main responsibility of the household. Her oldest son Ben (Michael Bolten) is feeling isolated. He loves Tyler but resents the time spent on him. Maddie's mother...

Hopeful and heartfelt, “Letters to God” is a competently made, overtly Christian movie that appeals to a very specific demographic. Unfortunately, the film’s vision of faith is narrow, too narrow to attract a wider audience.
Bald and scarred, eight-year-old Tyler Doherty (Tanner Maguire) is finally home from the hospital and recovering from brain cancer. His mother Maddy (Robyn Lively) struggles with having to leave her sick son to go back to work as a nurse, and his older brother Ben (Michael Christopher Bolten) worries about Tyler but resents that all of the household’s energy and attention is focused on him.
Every day, Tyler writes a letter to God and pops it in the mailbox. When down-on-his-luck postal carrier Brady McDaniels (Jeffrey S.S. Johnson) temporarily takes over the route, he befriends the Dohertys and takes Tyler’s letters — and, eventually, God — to heart.

Mike Judge's Office Space came out 10 years ago this February, but it only took a few months to become a classic. There's just something so familiar hidden in every frame of the film, we don't exactly know whether to laugh or cry or both. And long before that luxury flophouse, American Beauty, came out, it was Office Space that ignited in us all that Joe Schmo fantasy of finally saying fuck it, I'm out. God, how sweet would that be?
Well, through praise and persistence, SXSW and Fantastic Fest are bringing to Austin the most fantastic, fax-smashic event in the history of cinema- the Office Space 10 Year Anniversary Reunion! Join us at the historic Paramount Theater on February 8, where the mastermind himself, Mike Judge, will be there to preside over the night's festivies of film and fun.
