Will The Terror be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned. *Status Update Below.

Exclusive: Blue Fox Entertainment announced it has acquired worldwide rights and will be launching sales on the sci-fi thriller Site at the upcoming American Film Market in November. The gripping and thought-provoking film is written and directed by the award-winning Jason Eric Perlman, who was recently named #4 in LA Weekly’s “Top 10 Entertainment Professionals to Watch in 2023.” His debut feature Threshold was released by Sony Pictures after a decorated festival run in 2017.
Blue Fox Entertainment is handling worldwide sales and will preview first look footage of the film for buyers at the upcoming American Film Market (AFM). Blue Fox Entertainment’s US distribution division is planning a theatrical release for the film.
The film stars Jake McLaughlin, Arielle Kebbel, Theo Rossi, and Miki Ishikawa, and Yoson An.
In Site, Neil (Jake McLaughlin) experiences an inexplicable time distortion in an abandoned military test site while inspecting it with his business partner Garrison (Theo Rossi). Soon, Neil is having repeated traumatic flashes back to a WWII prison camp in China called Unit 731, which somehow holds the thread to his own unraveling present. Neil begins to realize that the past lives and events in this place of unspeakable brutality seem to mirror his own trauma with his son Wiley and his wife Elena (Arielle Kebbel). Desperate for answers, Neil enlists Naomi (Miki Ishikawa) to help him find the facility’s last surviving scientist. Ultimately, Neil awakens to a new redemptive responsibility, both within his own family and the greater society around him.
Site is produced by publicist and entrepreneur Benjamin Cooke, Sundance alum, Kelly Hayes, international businesswoman, Yvonne Supangkat, and Jason Eric Perlman.
Blue Fox Entertainment’s James Huntsman said, “Audiences are hungry for high quality science fiction thrillers, which have been scarce in the market recently. With Site, Jason and his talented cast and crew have created an exciting journey that has something relevant to say beneath the surface of the film.”
Director Jason Eric Perlman said, “We are thrilled to have this film beginning its journey in the viewing world. In this time of such unthinkable conflicts I believe it’s vital that creativity explores the interconnectedness of mankind, as well as the atrocities we are capable of inflicting upon one another. Site is intent upon doing both, but with the philosophical imperative that if we ignore history, or the darkness within each of us, we are doomed to repeat the same traumas over and over.
It has been an honor to work with our incredibly talented cast in bringing this story to life, and their commitment to the material elevates it to a remarkable plane. Our visionary crew is also to be credited with what I believe we’ve achieved. The cinematography of Eunah Lee and the brilliant production design of Gabor Norman were integral in the telling of this story to full potential. We are excited to team now with Blue Fox in launching this film into the world.”...

"They know where you are now." This looks cool! Show me more footage from this, please. An early promo trailer has debuted for an indie sci-fi short film called The Angkasa Legacy, written and directed by half-Indonesian, half-Polish filmmaker Soma Helmi who grew up on Bali. An Indonesian man discovers he has extraterrestrial abilities when a friend dies in his arms. An all Aapi romantic sci-fi. This is being pitched as a proof of concept, a way to develop something bigger with this concept as a jumping off point. I'm down. I wasn't expecting much, but this trailer got me! I'm very curious to see more. And I love the moody, Northern Lights-filled dream shots, it gives it some extra style and vibrance. The short film stars Yoshi Sudarso as Josh, with Lulu Antariksa, Miki Ishikawa, Peter Adrian Sudarso, Simmi Singh, Tania Gunadi, and Hana Wu. I hope this short...

(Warning: The following post contains spoilers from the premiere episode of Disney+’s “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.”)
In the first episode of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” we learn a very important thing about James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes: He was definitely using hook up apps at some point.
During the episode, Bucky’s friend, Mr. Nakasima, sets him up with Leah (Miki Ishikawa), a server at their regular sushi place, and the two later meet up for beers and Battleship games, where Leah asks if Bucky has been seeing anyone. “I tried the whole online dating thing… it’s pretty crazy. A lot of weird pictures,” Bucky answers — confirming that yes, Bucky apparently has an online dating profile.
Which to be honest is kind of amazing. Sure, Bucky is played by Sebastain Stan, who is objectively gorgeous, but he’s also 106 years old, he spent 1944-2014 as a brainwashed super assassin,...

(Warning: The following post contains spoilers from the premiere episode of Disney+’s “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.”)
The first episode of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” left us with plenty of questions, but before we get into theories and connections and conspiracies, there’s something pressing we need to address: How in the hell is Bucky Barnes living in any kind of anonymity?
Seriously, how is a low-key existence even possible for Bucky at this point? How does No One recognize the Winter Soldier?
When we first encounter Bucky (Sebastian Stan) in the episode — bless us all, during a government-mandated therapy session — we learn a few key facts. Chief among them is this: Bucky has been granted a full pardon for his crimes. With his newfound freedom — both legally and mentally, as we also learned that Bucky is in full control of his mental faculties once more...

The MCU is coming to Disney+ in a big way. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, from Empire’s Malcolm Spellman and John Wick creator Derek Kolstad, was meant to be the first of these projects to arrive, but due to the nature of things, and the way that the chips have fallen during Marvel’s disrupted 2020 production schedule, it will now be released After the Scarlet Witch and Vision-flavored WandaVision.
Eventually, we’ll get to see what Marvel has planned for the reformed Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and its new Captain America, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), but we’re clearly in for a longer wait than we hoped for.
We’re now just over a month away from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s arrival on Disney+. To keep you occupied until it gets here, here’s everything you need to know…

‘The Falcon & The Winter Soldier’ Won’t Make August Premiere Date On Disney+ Because Of Covid Delays
Delays in production for Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ original series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier caused first by an earthquake in Puerto Rico and then the coronavirus will keep the Marvel spinoff series from making its previously set August premiere date.
The series was not on Disney+’s list of next month premieres released Friday. No word yet on a fresh date.
The series stars the Marvel films’ Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon and Sebastian Stan as as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier. The mismatched pair are military vets and former partners of Captain America (who is missing in action after the events of the record-breaking Avengers: Endgame) who team for a global adventure that will test their survival skills — as well as their patience.

The set photos have been coming thick and fast lately for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, showing off the latest costumes for the core cast of the McU’s first Disney Plus series.
In this new batch of pics, for instance, we get another look at Bucky Barnes actor Sebastian Stan’s latest outfit, complete with vibranium arm. Meanwhile, Sharon Carter of Captain America: The Winter Soldier fame – played once more by Emily VanCamp – has been spotted in civilian clothing. And then, of course, there’s Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo, flashing a cheeky grin as he sports his new supervillain outfit, but without the purple mask.
One notable absentee from these images is Sam Wilson actor Anthony Mackie, who made quite an impression last month when he was seen wearing a flashy new suit in a previous batch of set photos.

A TV adaptation of “Turner and Hooch,” the 1980s-era buddy cop movie is in development at Disney+, an individual familiar with the project tells TheWrap.
The series is from “Burn Notice” creator Matt Nix, who most recently shepherded Fox’s X-Men drama, “The Gifted.” It comes from Disney-owned 20th Century Fox TV, where Nix has an overall deal. The series would keep the same premise of the film, which starred Tom Hanks and revolved around a police detective, Scott Turner, and his French mastiff pooch, Hooch.
The film, which co-starred Mare Winningham and Craig T. Nelson, was a success at the box office, grossing $71 million.

[Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers from “The Terror: Infamy” Episode 3, “Gaman.”]
The third episode of “The Terror: Infamy” opens with Chester Nakayama (Derek Mio) and the rest of the internment camp watching a John Wayne movie that a benshi provides with a live soundtrack, performing the dialogue timed perfectly to the film. AMC’s viewers are treated to English subtitles, bringing the translations full circle. It’s a fun and fascinating scene that actor-consultant George Takei confirms he experienced when he was in the camps as a child, but also one that highlights the importance of the dual cultural and linguistic influences of immigrants in America.
It’s to be expected that “The Terror: Infamy,” which depicts the experiences of Japanese Americans during World War II, uses the Japanese language on the show. Showrunner Alexander Woo acknowledges that he did not hold back on how extensively it’s used – upcoming episodes include long, Japanese-language-only scenes – but also took care how the...

George Takei didn’t mince words when talking about the current political climate on Friday, telling a packed crowd at Comic-Con 2019 that statements made by Donald Trump — and Trump’s border policies — are “an echo from my childhood.”
Takei spoke during the panel discussion for AMC’s “The Terror: Infamy” at Comic-Con 2019. The second season of the anthology series “The Terror,” which Takei stars in and also serves as a consultant, is set in a Japanese internment camp during World War II, much like the camps Takei and his family were imprisoned in from 1942 to 1945.
When asked during the audience Q&a how he feels about statements made by Trump about immigrants, or the detention centers on the border , Takei was blunt. “When Donald Trump was campaigning for the Republican nomination, and among his other statements he called for a complete and total ban on Muslims coming into this country,...

On “The Terror: Infamy,” Chester Nakayama (Derek Mio) has big dreams to become a photographer, but his latest pictures are looking kind of funny, as can be seen below. AMC released a brand-new trailer at Comic-Con on Friday that leans into the J-horror inherent in this season’s mystery.
In its first season, the anthology series investigated what happened to Captain Franklin’s famed lost expedition, in which all 129 men aboard two Royal Navy ships were lost after they became icebound seeking the Northwest Passage. This season takes place during World War II, specifically during the internment of Japanese-Americans following the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Chester Nakayama is living on Terminal Island when his life is turned upside-down by the government and by a mysterious presence that has been haunting the community. The trailer mentions terms such as “yurei” – figures from Japanese folklore that are similar to ghosts – and “bakemono,...

Just like in its first season, The Terror's second installment is taking a real-life tragedy and giving it a haunting supernatural spin that will likely give you nightmares from its season premiere on AMC in August, all the way until the finale.
In the first trailer for season two of the anthology series, the show trades the frigid location of the Northwest Passage (and the 19-century British ships trapped there) for an equally horrifying real-life place: an American internment camp during World War II. Soon the Us citizens of Japanese descent who are forced there begin to suspect that the rash of recent deaths in their community are the result of a malevolent shape-shifting spirit.
A young man named Chester Nakayama (Greek's Derek Mio) decides to figure out the root cause and destroy the evil before it can murder anyone else, though he's warned that "anywhere you go, it follows you.
