Director Stu Dodge and company are wrapping up filming in Atlanta, Ga. and I caught up with him to talk about his film Nerd of the Living Dead. Here's the low down from Stu;
The picture we are producing is entitled "Nerd of the Living Dead", a low-budget zombie comedy loosely based on George A. Romero's 1968 classic "Night of the Living Dead". Principal photography began Jan. 20th and ended Feb. 6th, 2011. 2nd Unit photography will continue over the next couple of weeks.
Like Romero's classic, our picture takes place in the late '60s. The picture stars (unknown) Sam Ronick as "Elvin McBrant", an awkward twenty-something vegetarian with a penchant for condiments, who unwittingly finds himself among the Undead. "Judy", Elvin's "accidental" girlfriend (whose sweet looks belie her less than virginal nature), is played by Samantha Falk (credited actor, and niece of TV's "Columbo", Peter Falk).
