Pablo Lyonne was born Paul Homer Moore II in Bakersfield, CA to James
Homer Moore and Teresa Chaves. His family moved north and settled in
Chico, CA when he was entering grade school. Pablo attended the
University of California in Davis with the original intention of
following an academic career as a teacher or professor. He graduated
with a double major in English Literature and Theater Arts. While at
Davis Pablo appeared in many stage productions on campus and in the
surrounding communities of Sacramento, Winters, and Napa Valley.
After graduation he moved to Brooklyn, NY in January of 2001 to follow his dream of becoming a professional stage actor. Nine months later the terrorist attacks of 9/11 took place and Pablo's world was turned upside down. Priorities changed and he spent the next 3 years doing whatever he could to survive amidst the chaos and war zone that New York City had immediately turned into. Pablo found work in restaurants waiting tables while he attended acting classes. After three years of struggle in the big city, he decided to move to Los Angeles, CA after having been accepted into UCLA's Master of Fine Arts program in Acting in the summer of 2003.
Pablo spent the next 3 years undergoing intensive conservatory training at UCLA. While there he performed in plays, had roles in student films, and trained with top teachers in everything from sense memory to improvisational dance. Immediately after graduating from UCLA, Pablo landed his first professional theater job, and received his Actors' Equity union card for winning the title role in Euripides' "Hippolytos." He played opposite television star Linda Purl, in the inaugural performance at the Getty Villa's outdoor amphitheater in Malibu, CA. "Hippolytos" played to a sold out run and Pablo and the entire cast received rave reviews.
Pablo has traveled extensively in Europe, Central and South America. He plays guitar and has extensive training in meditation, Qigong healing, and human potential work. He spent 4 years studying with a top spiritual and Medical Qigong master in Los Angeles, CA. Pablo has a younger brother who currently serves in the United States Air Force. His mother is an entrepreneur and his father works as a bankruptcy and tax specialist in Sacramento, CA for the law firm of John Tosney. Pablo currently resides in Venice, CA.
