Halloween is a time for many things: tricks, treats, watching Hocus Pocus on FreeForm because you couldn’t get your shit together in time to make your Game of Thrones couples’ costume. It’s also the season for outlandish urban legends, from fears about crushed Tylenol being mixed into Pixie Sticks to that old chestnut about razors hidden in apples. This year, a police department in Pennsylvania is participating in the grand tradition of scaring the crap out of parents by issuing a warning about pranksters passing out Thc edibles to kids.

After more than a decade at NBC News, Jeff Rossen is leaving the network.
His contract was up last week, multiple sources told The Hollywood Reporter, and the parties could not come to terms on a new deal. The sticking point, say sources, was Rossen's aspirations to expand his "Rossen Reports"-branded consumer segments into a multiplatform franchise.
Still, network sources stressed that he is leaving on good terms, with plans for Rossen to stay on until mid-January (his team of producers will continue on at NBC News).

Matt Lauer, who was fired from NBC’s “Today” after accusations of sexual harassment surfaced, has made light of the issue in the past. Back in 2012, he joked in a “Today” segment that he was the victim of sexual harassment from his “Today” colleague Willie Geist. Savannah Guthrie threw it over to investigative correspondent Jeff Rossen as though the story and Lauer’s victimhood were real. In the sketch, surveillance camera footage captures Geist spanking Lauer on the buttocks, launching a full-scale “Today” investigation. Throwback to 2012 when Matt Lauer was the “real victim” of sexual harassment on the Today show ???? pic.
