When it comes to reality TV shows, America’s Next Top Model is one of the most memorable ones. Contestants competed to become a high-fashion model, and some behind-the-scenes stories show how intense the competition could get.

America’s Next Top Model premiered in 2003. Model Tyra Banks created and hosted the show. Each season, a group of wannabe models would compete to become “America’s Next Top Model.” They participated in photoshoots and challenges that tested their dedication to winning.
The winner received a contract with Elite Model Management, a contract to become a model for CoverGirl Cosmetics, and a spread in a fashion magazine like Elle or Seventeen. Thousands competed to be on America’s Next Top Model. But some recent audition process stories show how unglamorous trying out for the show could be.

The Season 2 premiere of Fox’s New Girl kicked off Tuesday night with two episodes, carrying over a few threads from Season 1 and setting up the large arcs for Season 2. We couldn’t help but wonder how New Girl, continues to be new, since Jess (Zooey Deschanel) became one of the guys. We’ll recall that Nick (Jake Johnson) decided not to move out with his then girlfriend and moved back with the gang, joining Jess, marketing creep Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Winston (Lamorne Morris). Here are some observations on how we think they’ll keep the momentum going based on the season premiere.
1. Jess’ Unemployment
Though not necessarily a new device in prime time television, Jess was delivered a big bomb in the season opener that her school made job cuts and she was given her pink slip. This sets up several new situations for Jess because she has...

New Girl is back tomorrow on Fox with two episodes and we have clips from the second instalment (for sneak peeks of episode 1 head here) that will see Jess (Zooey Deschanel) attempt to get over her bad news from the premiere. We will also meet some of Winston's (Lamorne Morris) family and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) will set out to impress. Spoilers ahead.
It took the New Girl writers some time to carve out Winston's role within the group as his character was a late addition to the cast. Damon Wayans Jr. was of course the other roommate in the pilot as Coach, but when Happy Endings received a season 2 pick-up he had to leave New Girl. Instead of simply recasting the character, a new one was created instead and it understandably took time to develop who Winston is and what his strengths as a character and performer are. Winston is...

We're meeting more of the guys' families on "New Girl" this season, so it only makes sense that Jess will bring her parents by the loft too. Just who will play the parents of Zooey Deschanel? None other than Rob Reiner and Jamie Lee Curtis.
According to TVLine, the actors will appear in the Season 2 Thanksgiving episode as Bob and Joan, the divorced parents of the newly laid-off teacher. She'll try to get the couple to reunite in a "Parent Trap" sort of way.

Rob Riggle will also be stopping by for Thanksgiving as Schmidt's cousin and mortal enemy, who also goes by Schmidt. Winston's family will appear in episode 2 when Schmidt takes a liking to his sister, played by Keenyah Hill. Anna Maria Horsford is playing his mom.
"New Girl" returns for Season 2 on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 8 and 9 p.m. on Fox.

Former "Daily Show" correspondent-turned-"Children's Hospital" star Rob Corddry will branch out for a recurring role on "Happy Endings" Season 3. The actor will guest star for at least two episodes as Chicago's "Car Czar" and Jane's new boss.
According to TVLine, Jane meets Corddry's character when she tags along with Penny to help her pal buy a new car. (She's definitely a person you want on your side during a negotiation, that's for sure.) Corddry is the owner of the dealership, and hires her as a salesperson when she impresses him with her knowledge of cars.
