If you thought that Lara Jean's older sister looked familiar in the To All the Boys I've Loved Before teaser, then you thought right. In the upcoming Netflix adaptation of Jenny Han's bestselling novel, Lara Jean (played by Lana Condor) accidentally reveals her secret feelings for all five of her former crushes, and her wise big sis, Margot, is played by Janel Parrish, best known as Mona Vanderwaal on Pretty Little Liars. Seriously, the cast for this movie is out-of-control good.
You probably don't even remember whether or not you liked Mona after the series finale, and we can't blame you. Parrish's Pll character led a complicated arc, playing the show's main antagonist for the first two seasons, and then again during the first half of the fifth season. But besides hitting Bethany Young with a shovel, killing Charlotte Dilaurentis, and making a deal with "A...

Pretty Little Liars' Alison may finally be regaining her edge and getting back to the character we know and love...
Warning: contains spoilers for Pretty Little Liars
Pretty Little Liars has always had a singular obsession with dead or missing blonde girls. It's iconic, after all – the all-American white girl from a wealthy family, someone who undoubtedly has secrets of her own, is made the victim of some terrible crime, leaving behind a slew of grieving family and friends eager to rewrite history.
For mystery narratives, it long-ago entered the deconstruction stage, from Gone Girl to Twin Peaks and tons of procedural dramas in-between.
Alison Dilaurentis, the Og missing blonde girl on Pretty Little Liars, played into this idea from the beginning of the show. Missing after the first scene of the pilot, dead by the end and immortalised in the opening credits for five and a half seasons,...

After the confused revelations of the season 6 finale, Hush Hush Sweet Liars, has Pretty Little Liars lost both its subtext and soul?
This feature contains spoilers for Pretty Little Liars season 6.
The sixth season finale for Pretty Little Liars aired this week, and with it came fresh reveals about secret twins, ludicrously convincing prosthetics and elaborate kidnapping plots. It was sillier than I remember the show ever being, and this is a series that regularly features dead girls coming back to life, cyber-stalkers stealing rotting corpses and storing them in drinks cabinets, and teenage girls commissioning creepy woodsmen to create multiple masks of their own faces.
I love this show. I've written thousands of words about it, meticulously deciphered its mysteries and gotten up at the crack of dawn to watch it just so I wouldn't be spoiled. But even I have to admit that things have been a little off lately,...

This episode marks the mid-season point in season 6 of Pretty Little Liars, and as we reached the end of the hour, the girls -- and the audience -- finally got answers to some of the show?s biggest questions. Who is ?A?/Charles? Who killed Bethany Young? Where does Sara Harvey fit into the picture? Why did Mrs. D help the person who ?killed? Alison? And who has been helping ?A? all this time? These answers -- some more satisfying than others -- will have to tide viewers over for a while because, in the final moments of the mid-season finale, the show kicked off a brand-new mystery. After all this time, shouldn't the Pretty Little Liars girls have learned to be less quick to jump to conclusions?
This review contains spoilers.
6.4 Don't Look Now & 6.5 She's No Angel
As the last six years of Pretty Little Liars have unfolded, we've all grown accustomed to a lot of its quirks – the three-episode red herrings, Aria's increasingly avant-garde fashion sense and the fact that all adult men living in Rosewood are inexplicably attracted to teenage girls – but it's one of the show's earliest tropes, the tendency for the girls to jump to conclusions based on very little evidence – that has become actively irritating.
It makes a lot of sense from a narrative perspective – just listen to Scream's explanation of how a slasher flick can and can't exist as long-form storytelling - but, as we approach the actual, real, genuine answer as to A's identity, it's hard to watch Alison Dilaurentis...

Between Ezra Fitz's terrible life choices, Aria Montgomery's hair feathers, and the fact that everyone's favorite Kindergarten Cop (aka Toby Cavanaugh) still thinks he's a policeman, "Pretty Little Liars" has been a roller coaster of non-stop drama. This week, the liars continue to investigate Mona Vanderwaal's murder, and it looks like they might be getting closer to uncovering the truth. Actually, that will probably never happen -- this is "Pretty Little Liars" we're talking about. But hey, at least we're one step closer to unraveling this episode with our recap!
Hanna Discovers One of Mona's Biggest Secrets, Holbrook Gets Suspended
Alison Dilaurentis' trial is coming up, and the little liars are pretty convinced she's going to be convicted. That's the good news. The bad news is that Hanna is public enemy number one with the police (who think she's Alison's accomplice), and now she's on a mission to clear her name.

The good news is that Aria Montgomery, Spencer Hastings, Emily Fields and Hanna Marin have finally decided to fight back against Alison Dilaurentis, and they're on a mission to make her pay for Mona's death. Fans of Pretty Little Liars knew someone was going to die heading into last night’s summer finale. But the question of who—and perhaps more importantly, which character would do the killing—remained unknown up until the final minutes of the episode.
After spending the episode helping the Liars track down recordings of Bethany Young’s therapy sessions and apaprently discovering solid proof that Alison Dilaurentis is “A,” Mona Vanderwaal, the Original “A,” put her life in the hands of one deadbolt … and it did not go well. Although her killer’s identity isn’t certain, there are strong hints that Ali murdered Mona.

5.12 Taking This One To The Grave
For anyone who's ever seen an episode of television, the minute that Mona started to be a sympathetic character again was also the moment we all knew she was a goner. People aren't sympathetic on this show outside of our core group of liars (and even that's debatable), and even before the episode aired it was likely that the forecast #FAtalFinale would be the final hour for the original A.
It's not because there's nothing left to do with the character - Mona is one of the most entertaining, perplexing and malleable characters on the show - but because it would probably have the most impact on the characters and on the show. While Mona was around, the Liars always...

"Pretty Little Liars" is embarking on another mid-season hiatus (now what are we supposed to do with our lives?) and once again fans are left with more questions than answers. No seriously, so many questions. Not only did Pll's epic season finale include an inexplicable death (Rip, Mona!), we still have no idea who A is, and a few brand-new mysteries were introduced to the party.
So, what unanswered questions from the finale will haunt the streets of Rosewood during "Pretty Little Liars" hiatus? You're about to find out!

Emily, Hanna, Aria and Spencer formed an alliance with Mona to break into Radley and Spencer was a arrested for the murder of Bethany Young in Pretty Little Liars’ Fatal Finale, “Taking This One to the Grave.”
Pretty Little Liars’ summer finale began on Thanksgiving day, with Aria (Lucy Hale), Ezra (Ian Harding), Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Emily (Shay Mitchell) standing on the street in front of a house where they had just discovered a dead body. 5.11 No One Here Can Love Or Understand Me
There’s an unwritten rule in mystery fiction that definitely applies to Pretty Little Liars – if the heroes decide on a killer miles ahead of the story’s resolution, then they’re certainly, unequivocally wrong. When they thought it was Toby, Mrs Dilaurentis, Melissa and Ezra, it took those suspects right off the table and pointed fingers even harder at other characters. One long-running theory has been that Alison is actually the post-Mona A, and this week’s episode proceeded to shred that theory to pieces.

Could Ali Be A?
After losing their faith in Ali (Sasha Pieterse), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Hanna (Ashley Benson), Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Aria (Lucy Hale) head to the police station to come clean about New York and squash Ali’s kidnapping story. They don’t go through with the plan, however, after a TV screens in the window in an electronics store flash video of Ali sneaking into the Rosewood hospital to visit Hanna, accompanied with the message: “We’re all in this together.” If A releases the video to the police, then they are never going to believe that the girls didn’t know Ali was alive the entire time she was missing. Defeated, Aria and Hanna head home while Spencer and Emily go to the Brew for some comfort coffee drinks.

Welcome to the Spoiler Room, a safe place for spoiler addicts to come on a weekly basis to learn what’s coming next on their favorite shows and, hopefully, get a few of their own questions answered. If you want scoop on a specific show, send your questions to spoilerroom@ew.com.
We are two weeks away from the Pretty Little Liars season-five summer finale with producers already teasing a #FatalFinale. And considering that, at this time last year, fans found out about Ezra’s pretty little secret and everything changed, there’s no telling what the writers have in store for us this year.

We're deep into "Pretty Little Liars" fifth season, and A is officially back in action. Although, let's be real -- this hooded stalker never really left the sepia-toned streets of Rosewood, though s/he did take a brief vacation from the ritualistic stalking of a bunch of teenagers long enough for the PLLs to think they were free. Hah, please. After all, life in Rosewood wouldn't be complete without snarky texts and the occasional bout of arson.
Now that our favorite masked villain is back, there's a whole new slew of possible subjects and we've put together a list of contenders!
1. Alison Dilaurentis Does anyone else find it strange that A showed up in Rosewood at the same time as Alison? Sure, this dead girl walking was supposedly stalked to the point of fleeing her hometown, but don't forget that Ali is a compulsive liar with an advanced degree in sleuthing.

5.7 The Silence Of E. Lamb
Since the return of Pretty Little Liars’ ubiquitous villain, A hasn’t really had to do much stirring of the pot. The girls, now with the addition of ultimate catalyst for drama, Alison, have been doing a decent enough job of fracturing their previously unbreakable bond all by themselves, and the added threat of a brand new (or old, have we determined which?) adversary is just the cherry on top of the stress cupcake.
Hanna is faring the worst, what with the sign-posted drinking problem and beef with Alison. Caleb’s back in town and it has taken a pleasingly small amount of time for Haleb to resume, but Hanna’s identity crisis is in full swing nonetheless. She’s the member of...

A attacked Ali in her home and the girls receive more information on Bethany Young, the girl in Ali’s grave in Pretty Little Liars’ “Run, Ali, Run.”
'A' Is Back
After Toby’s (Keegan Allen) house blows up due to a “gas leak,” the girls receive a message from A: “Did you miss me, bitches?” Toby, who went off to make sure none of his family members were in their house, is fine and confirms to Spencer (Troian Bellisario) that everyone, meaning Jenna (Tammin Sursok) and his parents, are safe. Why blow up Toby’s house when they were all gathered at Emily’s like sitting ducks? Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) tells Hanna (Ashley Benson) that he doesn’t know. What he does know: “A doesn’t shoot and miss.”
A continues to fire warning shots throughout the episode, and the girls are also being hounded by FBI’s Lt.

After taking a brief vacation, “A” is once again back in Rosewood. “Pretty Little Liars” Season 5 episode 6 – “Run, Ali Run” – starts off with “A” sending the Liars a text: “Did you miss me bitches?” Apparently the ladies did not miss their stalker, but really, what would life in Rosewood be without “A”? Boring! Turns out “A” killed Mrs. D and Bethany Young. So much for the new normal, ladies! They are “back to square one” with “A” and Ali wants to leave town.

Pretty Little Liars reaches its hundredth episode, but has it lost the plot along the way? Here's Caroline's review...

5.5 Miss Me X 100
When a show reaches 100 episodes, it’s hard not to get nostalgic and look back at the episodes that led here, the state of characters and relationships now rather than five seasons ago and where, potentially, the series can go from here. The hundredth episode of Pretty Little Liars makes a lot of that hard to do, basically because we know there are still 70-odd episodes to come, but also because it’s meandered so much that it’s almost impossible to recognise what it is anymore.
Is it about the ubiquitous monsters under the beds of young women, as Spencer and Alison mused last week, or about the rise of cyber bullying in American high schools? Is it a camp soap opera...

Pretty Little Liars’ 100th episode saw the return of Caleb, Jenna and A in “Miss Me x100.”
Pretty Little Liars Recap
Ali (Sasha Pieterse) is ready to return to Rosewood High, but no one is ready to welcome her – even Hanna (Ashley Benson) is scared of becoming one of Ali’s puppets or dolls again. Travis (Luke Kleintank) tells her that she doesn’t have anything to worry about, who cares what everyone else thinks if she knows who she is?
While Hanna and Travis are doing their romantic astronomy homework, Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra (Ian Harding) are having a non-date night. They run into Ali on the sidewalk, talking to an unknown driver in a black SUV. She brushes it off, and says that she was just talking to one of her father’s employees, but they’re suspicious. Across the street, a bus pulls in and drops...

The 100th episode of Pretty Little Liars took the show’s “explosive” reputation to new heights on Tuesday, dropping a barrage of game-changing bombs — including one actual bomb.
Related Pretty Little Liars Pilot Revisited: Ezra’s Big Clue and 19 Other Crucial Moments
The episode initially focused on Alison’s long-awaited return to the hallowed halls of Rosewood High, but it didn’t take long for Mona to blow the lid off Ali’s new, nice-girl routine; all it took was a secret video of Ali slapping her and admitting how she really feels about the “losers” at school. Pretty standard mean-girl propaganda.
