Welcome to the Circle is the first feature as director for David Fowler. Also known as The Circle, this feature was acquired by Devilworks in March, for potential distribution. Now, Artsploitations Films will show this feature, in the U.S., in October. In the film's story, a camping adventure turns to tragedy for a father and his daughter. Now, both characters are trapped in a murderous cult. This title stars: Heather Doerksen (Pacific Rim), Matthew MacCaull (Star Trek Beyond) and Taylor Dianne Robinson. And, the film's release details are hosted here. Welcome to the Circle has appeared at a couple of film festivals, including Fantasporto (Portugal). Here, the film was reviewed at ScifiNow, who notices the film's confusing affect: "an ever more disorienting trip through locations." Anton Bitel also mentions that the film will disorient the viewer: "Fowler’s literal cult movie will leave you bewildered and shell-shocked." Your initiation...

There isn’t much entertainment out there for ladies of the geek persuasion — or to be more accurate, geek ladies and geek gentlemen attracted to other gentlemen. Well, at least there isn’t much marketed directly to us. But we all know the dirty little secret of being a geek lady in a predominately geek man’s world — there are a lot of hot guys in sci-fi movies. Pacific Rim, which opened yesterday, is no exception. Some Spoilers Ahead!
Pacific Rim is in no way a perfect movie. It’s plagued with corny dialogue, underdeveloped characters, and a predictable, anticlimactic ending.

Clothed in heavy armour, bleached hair slicked-back and jaw steeled for battle, Sasha Kaidanovsky climbs into a Russian Jaeger, massive fighting robots controlled by humans, and neurally linked with her co-pilot, does her part to help save humanity from the Kaiju sea creatures in Guillermo del Toro's sci-fi/adventure action flick Pacific Rim.

Pacific Rim Trailer: Jaegers fight Kaiju to save humankind from extinction — but should they bother? Michael Bay’s Transformers 5 (or 6 or 7, sorry, lost count) has a new trailer — er … scratch that. Let me start again: Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim has a new trailer. Before you check it out, remember that every similarity between del Toro’s Pacific Rim and Bay’s Transformers movies (and Matt Reeves’ Cloverfield and Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds and Peter Berg’s Battleship and Gareth Edwards’ upcoming Godzilla remake and TV’s The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and …) is mere coincidence. After all, the Pacific Rim screenplay (credited to del Toro and Travis Beacham) is based on an "original story" — aka film treatment — penned by Beacham. Now, check out the Pacific Rim trailer below. A handful of new images for you this Friday, starting with three new images from John Lussenhop’s “Texas Chainsaw 3D”, including new looks at the film’s gorgeous star Alexandra Daddario slipping into something a little more comfortable than that oh-so-fashionable get-up they had her wearing in the trailers. Run for your lives! Runnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!! Ahem. Here’s a new viral video for Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming monster movie “Pacific Rim”. This one has more going on than just a Kaiju Emergency Alert System on TV that was released earlier (also included below), and features a news broadcast of a kaiju attack on San Francisco. Unless I’m mistaken, you don’t actually see the monster, though you hear it and see the destruction it leaves in its wake. Plus, there’s a giant carcass on that carrier in the pic above. “Pacific Rim” stars Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, Charlie Hunnam, Charlie Day, Clifton Collins Jr., Max Martini, Robert Maillet, Burn Gorman, Rinko Kikuchi, Heather Doerksen, Larry Joe Campbell, and saves us from rampaging monsters July 12, 2013. So apparently they’re calling the attacking giant monsters in Guillermo del Toro’s monster epic “Pacific Rim” kaijus. Which makes sense, I guess, since the movie is an homage to the Japanese monster movies. Or Kaiju movies. I’m just surprise they’re actually using the word in the movie. Anyhoo. Check out a short viral video from the upcoming movie, featuring the Kaiju Emergency Alert System. Kinda neato, if totally lacking in any sort of footage from the movie whatsoever. I’m dying to see the first footage from this movie, by the way. Here’s the official synopsis for Pacific Rim:
When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. The good Dr. Boll has another two sequels on tap for fans in 2012. One will see everyone's favorite vampire sexpot going head-up with who knows what and the other will feature a time traveling Dolph Lundgren and dragons. Today? Life is good.
That's right, kids. Natassia Malthe is back as BloodRayne for the fourth round in the video game-based franchise BloodRayne IV. And even better ... In The Name of the King 2 will feature Dolph Lundgren, Natassia Malthe, Lochlyn Munro, and Heather Doerksen! Dig on the plot for this upcoming bundle of nonsensical joy ...
An ex-Special Forces soldier gets thrown back to medieval times to fulfill an ancient prophecy and ends up finding redemption for his own battlefield experiences.
All I know is this ... I would pay top dollar to see Dolph Lundgren take on a fucking dragon. What say you? Check out some early art for both below.

Uwe Boll is at it again. Boll's 2007 video game adaptation In The Name Of The King aimed for (relatively) big budget spectacle with a cast list that left audiences scratching their heads and wondering "How'd he get that guy?" Well, Boll is headed back to his fantasy land but apparently on a much smaller scale this time. No Jason Statham, Ron Perlman, Burt Reynolds or Ray Liotta this time out. Nope, this time we get Natassia Malthe, Lochlyn Munro, Heather Doerksen and Dolph Lundgren.Have a hard time picturing Lundgren in a period fantasy epic? Well, apparently so does Boll because instead of casting Lundgren as a local of the fantasy world he will be playing "an ex-Special Forces soldier gets thrown back to...
