This Star Trek: Picard article contains spoilers.
The 21st Rule of Acquisition teaches us “Never place friendship above profit.” By that measure, no one has proven to be less Ferengi than Terry Matalas. The Star Trek: Picard showrunner has always made a point of including his friends in his series, even if only in fun cameos. Take season two of Picard, which saw Impractical Joker Brian Quinn drop by as a dog walker in Guinan’s bar, or the addition of 12 Monkeys star Todd Stashwick to the Picard cast as USS Titan Captain Liam Shaw (Matalas co-created the Syfy series). It’s clear the showrunner likes inside jokes, even if the audience doesn’t always get it.
That tendency is on full display in the latest episode of Picard season 3, “Disengage.” While investigating the terrorist attack from the last episode, Raffi’s now-unofficial Starfleet intelligence mission leads her to a Ferengi criminal called Sneed.

Post Malone makes a guest appearance in a forthcoming episode of the US comedy show Impractical Jokers.
In the episode, the rapper pretends to “hotbox” a stranger’s car while acting as a parking attendant.
“Hotboxing” refers to smoking marajuana in a confined space in order to exaggerate its effects.
The episode saw Malone – real name Austin Richard Post – join the show’s hosts Brian Quinn, James Murray and Sal Vulcano for on-camera mischief.
As part of the prank, Malone and Quinn pretended to be car park attendants, letting in unsuspecting members of the public.
According to Billboard, who were on set for the shoot of the season 10 episode, the group are encouraged to do a series of practical jokes.
One involves Malone getting out of the car to hand it back to its owners after pretending to have “hotboxed” it.

Exclusive: Before the three creators of TruTV’s Impractical Jokers promote the 10th season premiere of their hit unscripted comedy, Sal Vulcano, Brian “Q” Quinn and James “Murr” Murray have a confession to make: there’s actually no real meaning behind the title of their long-running sketch show. In fact, there’s nothing remotely impractical about the show’s premise, which involves the three lifelong friends embarrassing each other in public with outrageous dares.
“That name was thrust upon us in the early stages of the network,” admits Vulcano to Deadline. “We were like, who even uses the word impractical? It felt so clunky to us. To be honest, out of the gate, the show was originally called Mission Uncomfortable. When Impractical Jokers first came out, I was like, ‘we are going to be mocked roundly.’ It was the most clunky, unfunny, confusing name that I ever heard.”

Exclusive: Michigan State University wants nothing to do with Ben Cory Jones’ film about the school’s legendary Black Spartans football team.

This post contains spoilers for Picard season 2.
When Picard season two found the title character and his crew going back to 2024 after being sent to an alternate universe by Q, fans expected to see some surprising faces. Thus far, the most notable has been a younger Guinan, with Ito Aghayere filling in for Whoopi Goldberg. But some TV fans may have recognized another familiar face in Guinan’s Los Angeles bar, one usually found behind the chaos and not in the center of the action.
Brian Quinn, aka Q of the Impractical Jokers, appears as “Uncle Dale,” a dog walker who arrives to bring home Guinan’s pet Luna. As some observers have noted, this isn’t the first time Quinn has cameoed in a genre show, having shown up in the Syfy series 12 Monkeys and the CBS adventure show MacGyver. Even more interesting is that Quinn’s character...

TruTV’s flagship series Impractical Jokers is getting a remotely filmed offshoot, Impractical Jokers: Dinner Party, amid the coronavirus-related Hollywood production shutdown.
The new, six-episode half-hour series is set to premiere on May 21. Starring Joe Gatto, James “Murr” Murray, Brian “Q” Quinn, and Sal Vulcano, collectively known as the comedy troupe The Tenderloins, the show virtually reunites the long-time friends, forced apart for the first time in over 25 years by the pandemic, as they sit down to break bread in their respective homes. Fans will see the group like never before, with an up close and personal glimpse at their lives while they practice social distancing. (Watch a promo above)
Impractical Jokers: Dinner Party marks the latest extension to the Impractical Jokers franchise. It follows the February release of the feature-length Impractical Jokers: The Movie, which had the highest per-screen average of all major theatrical openers in its first week.

For almost all of us, being stuck in our homes has led to mass amounts of boredom. For those like myself, not being able to go to the movie theater is a huge change from what we’re used to. Luckily, a number of films that came out just before the Coronavirus pandemic broke out have gone quickly to Video On Demand, allowing audiences to still indulge in their offerings. One such title is Impractical Jokers: The Movie, one of my favorite comedies of 2020 so far, and a perfect tonic from all of the world’s stress right now. Film wise, there are few options more determined to put a smile on your face than this one. For those who still don’t know about this team, a quick refresher is in order for you. The Impractical Jokers are Joe Gatto, James Murray, Brian Quinn (Q for short), and Sal Vulcano.

I don’t watch a lot of television. Seeing well over 300 movies a year will do that to you, as you might imagine. However, when I do opt for TV over a film, it’s almost always something silly to just sit back and enjoy. One of the few programs I always make time for is Impractical Jokers, the long running TruTV show that has built up a dedicated following over the years. This week, the four Jokers head to the big screen for Impractical Jokers: The Movie. To honor that, today we’ll be doing a slightly different Spotlight on the Stars piece, opting to highlight, yes, the Impractical Jokers. The Impractical Jokers are, of course, Joe Gatto, James Murray, Brian Quinn (Q for short), and Sal Vulcano. The four have been friends for decades and came to prominence with YouTube videos initially, before getting the show, which has...

It’s a tricky balance, making a movie from a TV show.
If the film is a replica, fans would feel ripped off paying for a ticket when they could have turned on the TV. However, if it’s very far afield, fans could also feel cheated. Not to worry with “Impractical Jokers: The Movie,” though: Opening Feb. 21, the film introduces a twist and flashbacks to 1994 (including a plotline with Paula Abdul), but retains the zaniness that makes the Tenderloins beloved.
“The story idea had to be good and had to work within an established dynamic,” says director Chris Henchy who co-wrote the film with the Tenderloins.
Henchy recalls the moment he became a fan. His wife, Brooke Shields, was watching “Impractical Jokers” with their daughters. He walked into the room with a cup of hot coffee, and two episodes later, having not moved, was holding a cup of cold coffee.

The crazy Nsfw trailer for Jay and Silent Bob Reboot was jam-packed with so many celebrities that it’s nearly impossible for anyone to catch them all in one viewing. Even after plenty more replays, we’re still not sure we spotted every single superstar who pop ups onscreen.
Here’s a list of every big-time cameo that we were able to spot, though. Suffice it to say, there were a lot of them.
Ben Affleck Matt Damon Chris Hemsworth Melissa Benoist Val Kilmer Tommy Chong Jason Biggs James Van Der Beek Joe Manganiello Diedrich Bader Justin Long Craig Robinson Fred Armisen Brian Quinn Method Man Redman David Mandel David Dastmalchian
And those are just the ones we saw in trailer! This unbelievable lineup includes television actors, Academy Award winners, comedians, rappers, three separate Batmen and plenty more. The brief three-minute teaser has almost as many stars as a Marvel movie.

Kevin Smith is moving forward with Jay and Silent Bob Reboot and here is everything you need to know about it.
Kevin Smith spent the first day of 2019 starting "pre-pre-production" on a new (and long-awaited) Jay and Silent Bob movie. He had reportedly planned to start shooting the project back in 2018, but he almost died, so that may have kinda got in the way of things.
Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is the seventh live-action film of Smith's to feature the iconic characters played by himself and Jason Mewes, who have also gone on to have their own comics, TV series and merch. They first appeared together in his low-budget 1994 comedy, Clerks, and the rest has been history. We last saw Jay And Silent Bob in 2006's Clerks 2.
Thirteen years is a long time to have been without these two - we've had a whole McU since then!

Ever since “oldies” like Scream entered their “retrospective anniversary articles” phase, slasher cinema has failed to regain control of genre airwaves like those 80’s mainstays of pulp and cultural circumstance. Your still-relevant Friday The 13th or Child’s Play franchises. To that, I’ve always considered Adam Green’s Hatchet an exception to trends. My first taste of Victor Crowley’s bayou legend struck me as – pound for pound – one of the post-2000 era’s gnarliest slasher rebirths. Hatchet II and Hatchet III, two underrated indie continuations, only strengthened my arguments. Count me a ranking axe-wielder in the Hatchet Army, and a continual fan of Green’s work (Frozen chills to the core, Digging Up The Marrow blasts creativity).
Unfortunately, this just makes 2018’s Victor Crowley a bigger disappointment in my eyes.
Parry Shen returns as Andrew – the lone survivor of Hatch III’s massacre – and is duped into returning...

Although many actors have become typecast or mainstays in the horror genre (that’s certainly not a bad thing because it can keep you employed for life), there aren’t as many who can say that they’ve inhabited more than one iconic role. Fortunately for Kane Hodder, the former Jason Voorhees has kept lovers of the macabre entertained in recent years as Victor Crowley in the Hatchet series of films. Granted, the latter is less mainstream than the former, but our point remains valid.
Now, with the release of Victor’s eponymous adventure imminent, the folks at Coming Soon have decided to share the first five minutes from the flick. As we can see, the lovebirds played by Jonah Ray and Kelly Vrooman don’t fare very well, but it’s the cameo made by Tyler Mane that put a smile on my face. "It's coming for all of us." Surprise - he's back! A teaser trailer has debuted for a brutal slasher horror titled Victor Crowley, which is the name of the villain in the Hatchet series of horror movies. Victor Crowley is indeed the fourth Hatchet movie, made in secret by filmmaker Adam Green, the same guy who started the series back in 2006. Set a decade after the events of the first three films, the story follows the one-and-only survivor who has been trying to get people to believe his story for years. But he ends up back at the place where it all started, and Crowley is mistakenly resurrected. Starring Kane Hodder and Parry Shen, along with Laura Ortiz, Dave Sheridan, and Brian Quinn. Bloody Disgusting (who premiered the trailer) also just reviewed the film, saying it's "the Gory Slasher Film You’re Craving!" Yes, it looks brutal and very gory.

The new teaser trailer for Victor Crowley (see below) sees the return of Parry Shen as Andrew Yong, the (supposedly) sole survivor of the Honey Island Swamp massacres, who inevitably must face the monster that he managed to escape, Victor Crowley.
Following its surprise premiere at the ArcLight Cinema, Adam Green will take Victor Crowley to select Us theaters this October for a road show tour that will...
