- She's the only member of the group Mocedades that has been there since its foundation in 1969 and has never left it.
- She prepares the play lists for every tour.
- She has always been in Mocedades except for some months in 1978 due to maternity and some months in 1982 due to lumbago. During that time her sister Idoia stood in. During the first period her sister stood in for the tours and during the illness her sister stood in for the album recording that year too. Nevertheless, nobody stood in when she had an accident in 1999, the group decided to wait until she was recovered.
- She sings some of the songs her sister Amaya sang as lead singer since 1996, the rest of them are sung by Rosa Rodríguez, the other female singer since 2005. She decided to do it since her voice became deeper and the other female singers left the group and were replaced too often.
- During the 50th anniversary of Eurovision "Congratulations" the song "Eres tú" (1973, Spanish entry Mocedades) was selected for the final contest. Although Izaskun and Javier are the only historic members left in Mocedades, none of them was there. There was only Amaya, José Ipiña and Carlos Zubiaga, and none of them belongs to Mocedades anymore even if they were members of the group when participating in Eurovision with Eres tú.
