Iranian-American actress, host and stand up comedian.
Previously a seasoned makeup artist, billed as "Mosha Katani" has been working in the beauty industry for nearly two decades. She's worked on print advertising, commercials, music videos, fashion shows, press and red carpet with some TV and short film work. She has extensive knowledge on period makeup, airbrush, blood and SFX as well as natural. Mosha and her family moved to Southern California when she was six years old.
She is a native Californian at this point and has lived in or around Hollywood nearly her entire life. Mosha attended CSULA for film and TV where she excelled in her film production classes. However she not only got attention for her material (Directing a piece by David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross for her final). But also the strong makeup skills she had when she did on a PSA on battered women. Mosha always had a keen sense of style and pop culture. While in school Mosha interned at World Famous kroq and thanks to her friends she met some great people that opened her world up to makeup on music videos. She spent years doing makeup and at one point also opening an agency and representing other artists. She's had a hand in launching several artist's career.
In 2004-5 she launched a natural beauty line starting with kohl eyeliner powders that don't require washing off. She was written up in the LA Times (2008), Global Cosmetics Industry (GCI/2009), Riviera Magazine 2006 and 2012, Atlantan 2006, DC Magazine (2006), Riviera San Diego, W, Us Magazine and more.
Mosha is an authority on makeup and makeup brands. She has helped the ranks of many makeup lines from Kevyn Aucoin to Stila. She also works consistently with Mattel and Disney in all in house marketing and viable shoots. Always reinventing herself, Mosha is often called the Queen of Kohl.
