At the start of Cold Blows the Wind, Dean and Tasha look in the trunk of their car and are surprised to find a badly injured man. They’re surprised not because he’s there, but because they thought they killed him when Tasha hit him while driving drunk. Realising he isn’t dead Tasha wants to get him to a hospital while Dean is worried once what happens gets out they’ll go to jail. To avoid that he takes the only logical course of action and stabs the man to death. Tasha reluctantly helps him bury the body.
Writer/director Eric Williford and cinematographer Marc Martinez give us a striking burial scene full of moonlight and mist as the couple squabble while digging the grave. And as they do, someone is watching them,...

Lexi opens with the standard card telling us where the footage we’re about to see came from followed by a montage of views from security cameras. Then a desperate looking woman appears followed by the film’s title card, there are no credits. It’s an effective and attention-grabbing opening.
More of a mockumentary than a found footage film, although it does incorporate plenty of it, Lexi is an investigation into the strange events surrounding the disappearance of social media influencer “Laughing Lexi” aka Alexandria Mancini.
Starting with her friend Mel (Felisha Michelle Cacho; Treason) filing a missing persons report, director Victoria Vertuga and co-writer Eric Williford examine the last six months of her life looking for clues to what might have happened. We get a...

Sometimes the title of a film simply defines it. Take for example John Carter. Why would you spend a quarter of a billion dollars on a film then give it the most boring title you can come up with? But how about calling your film Merry F@#$ing Christmas? Now that's an attention grabber.
Black Snow Productions has announced that Merry F@#$ing Christmas will have a release date during the 2012 holiday season. Principal photography will begin in the summer. The first segment to be shot is entitled Alexandria. It will be directed by Otis (Second World Series, Dead Reckoning) and Jaye Lowe (Dead Reckoning) and star Elyse Dufour, Josh Murray (Adams Morgan, The Soliloquy) and Brent Bauer (Second World 3 and 4).
Merry F@#$ing Christmas will also feature segments from filmmakers J. Michael Whalen (Conquering the Rose), Eric Williford (Natalie’s Lose Lose) and Franklin Guerrero Jr. (The 8th Plague,...
