Jennifer Peralta-Ajemian is a Casting Director and Filmmaker with over 19 years of experience in the entertainment industry. Raised in a multicultural home that fostered an appreciation for leadership and the arts, she developed a global vision through an artistic lens. After 13 years as a ballet dancer and 11 years assisting talent agents and casting directors, Jennifer recognized a continuous lack of authenticity and inclusion across multiple industries.
In 2014, she created JPA to help amplify historically underestimated voices. Launching with JPA Casting, the company's work garnered recognition from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Austin Film Festival, SXSW, Tribeca, the New York Emmys, The New York Times, as well as the "Ellen", and "Today" shows. Its production arm, JPA Creative, reconstructs narratives and is a leading partner and resource for stories seeking visibility.
From 2004-2013 Jennifer honed her skills at talent agencies Henderson Hogan and CESD and assisted casting directors Avy Kaufman, Bernard Telsey, Cindy Tolan, and Liz Lewis. She later partnered with casting director Robin Carus under the banner of J&R creative.
Jennifer has served as a Jury Member for SRFF and the Burbank International Film Festival and contributed to panel discussions about inclusion hosted by Glass Elevator, Film Fatales, and the Globescreen Conference. She has also been invited on podcasts, including The Purpose Made and Represent Now, speaking on the importance of authenticity, representation, and an infinite mindset
