An all-new episode of Indie Soap Award-winning Then We Got Help! is out today! Creator and star Julie Ann Emery offers a preview:
"Emily wakes Michael in the middle of the night to interrogate him--'Jan style'. Thom has a big announcement about Lao Tsu. And our bisexual Vance returns. This time conflicted and alone.
"Dan runs the meeting. Forcing everyone to write 'partner bios' about their significant other. And they all go wrong one way or the other. It's a particularly good episode for Vance. And Eric Anderson is touching and terrific. He wants to tell the group his problems with Paige and Scott Austin, but he doesn't want to dig too deep. And I love how Nick (Aka Dan) really pushes him to get to the bottom of it.
"It's interesting how this story line organically evolved. In the end, the group has no problem with Vance being bi-sexual.

Scott Austin's piece focused on comments made in the piece by CEO Chris Hyams and President of Distribution Paola Freccero about the company's fate at the hands of the Vc funding model. The executives said that B-Side was on the road to being profitable but couldn't deliver large enough returns in the time period desired by financier Valhalla Partners. Austin points to another B-Side investor: original Series A-funder Mike Maples, Jr. and his Vc firm Silverton Partners. Maples and his firm invested $3.1 million in B-Side in 2006. Last week,...

As many of you probably read with our review of Shadow Complex two weeks ago, the Super Metroid-inspired title is a fun action platformer with a few minor flaws. But according to the XBox Live Arcade community, these flaws didn’t keep Shadow Complex from becoming the top selling game of not only XBox’s Summer of Arcade but the highest first week sales figures and single week sales figures ever on the platform. Reaching over 200,000 downloads in its first week, Shadow Complex has set a new target for all aspiring downloadable games creators.
Scott Austin, director of digitally distributed games at Microsoft was quoted, “Congratulations to Chair Entertainment and Epic Games for creating an outstanding game… As the capstone title of the second annual Summer of Arcade program, Shadow Complex has raised the bar for downloadable games. We’re proud to offer such high-quality content on Xbox Live Arcade.
