Jamison Brooks was born in Youngstown, Ohio to his father Kurt Brooks and mother Susan Kauffman Brooks, and has one brother, Jordan Brooks.
Jay has worked in the entertainment industry as a film producer, Director, Editor Visual Effects Artist, Music Producer, and Musician. Jay develops and produces film, music, television and web-series projects through his production company BCB Productions.
Jay began his career as an indie musician where he spent several years as a guitarist for local Columbus bands, and is still with his group Raged Awry. In 1997 he began a new phase of his career as a producer when he launched BCB Productions in an effort to expand the film and music industry in Columbus Ohio. Jay serves on the board for the Central Ohio Film council which hosts annual Chris Awards Film Festival, which is the longest consecutively running film festival in the United States. Jay has three daughters Devin, Madison, and Terra Brooks.
