Former Barron Knights singer Duke D'Mond has passed away, aged 66. According to the band's official website, the frontman, real name Richard Palmer, died earlier this month at hospital in Oxford after suffering a heart attack and developing pneumonia. The Barron Knights scored a number of UK hits in the '60s, '70s and '80s with their satirical comedy pop songs and parodies. D'Mond left the group four years ago after suffering a serious fall.
