- Yasmin was raised on a steady diet of Star Wars, adventure travel, and SCUBA. Her aspirations include being a space tourist and honing her Jedi skill sets.
- Ms. Naficy balances a full-time scientific and writing career with distinguished clients like NASA, USAID, U.S. Congress and others in addition to working on her film productions. On average, Ms. Naficy gets about four hours of sleep per night.
- Yasmin's screenplays for "The Rogue", "Liberty", "Midnight Cry", and her space movie "Jupiter vs. Mars" are all based on some of her lifelong recurrent, lucid dreams, which she was asked to start notarizing in 2007.
- Ms. Naficy took Commander Chris Hadfield, astronaut, musician, and former Space Shuttle pilot, SCUBA diving in the Red Sea, Egypt, hovering over a deep underwater canyon covered in pink soft corals. These precious, otherworldly reefs are now endangered by construction plans between Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
- Ms. Naficy funded the editing of the award-winning documentary '3 Hikers', which won one of just 10 'AFI Docs' Awards in 2015. Ms. Naficy also arranged a rare interview with Bruce Laingen, the last U.S. Ambassador to Tehran. '3 Hikers' is available on all mainstream cable platforms and has won many other awards. Though not an acquaintance of the young Hikers, Ms. Naficy was presented with the project by the compelling team and had the means to assist.
