- Jon Zazula was born on March 16, 1952 in Bronx, New York City, New York, USA. He was an actor, known for Talk Is Jericho (2013), Soilwork: Live in the Heart of Helsinki (2015) and Anvil (2008). He was married to Marsha Zazula. He died on February 1, 2022 in Clermont, Florida, USA.

- Although his label Megaforce was originally set up to release Metallica recordings, it was the home of many up-and-coming hard rock and metal bands that later went on to achieve success, such as Anthrax, Testament, Overkill, S.O.D., M.O.D., King's X, Manowar and Frehley's Comet.
- Was responsible for bringing then-unknown thrash metal band Metallica to New York in 1983. It was there that they recorded their debut album "Kill 'Em All", and (prior to the recording sessions) that Exodus guitarist Kirk Hammett had replaced Dave Mustaine (who later went on to form Megadeth).
