Marvel Studios and Disney have quite a few projects lined up for development and production, despite the recent statements that they will lower the scope and output of their movies & shows due to somewhat undesirable results that their projects have gotten in the last several years. Still, there are quite a few projects that fans are certainly looking forward to and one of them is the sequel to ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings.’
By December 2021, development had started on a sequel to ‘Shang-Chi’ with director and writer Cretton and star Liu expected to return. Liu expressed interest in exploring his character’s journey with the ten rings and his place in the MCU. However, by July 2023, Liu was uncertain about the sequel’s production timeline, mentioning it was slated for release after ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty,’ which had been postponed to 2026 from 2025. He expected that more details would emerge soon.

Captain Marvel is a superhero who has gone through some tumultuous times. The character otherwise known as Carol Danvers might be an A-lister now, but it took a long time to grant her the status she's since become synonymous with. When she first debuted in "Marvel Super-Heroes" #13 back in 1987, Carol was known as Ms. Marvel. She was created, in part, to capitalize on the women's liberation movement that had been taking the country by storm for nearly 20 years — but the effects of the movement wouldn't create lasting change for her character for a while.
Carol's bizarre journey was recently catalogued in the insider book "MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios." It didn't take long for her to get her own solo series, "Ms. Marvel," in the late '70s, but she was frequently written by men, few of whom fully understood the feminist movement they were meant to be embodying.

Marvel Studios continue developing Marvel Comics "Power Pack" for the 'Marvel Cinematic Universe', with Jonathan Schwartz, executive producer on "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" overseeing the project, described as a "Spy Kids"–like superhero story":
"For many years we wanted to do something for families, something that's a little younger,", said Marvel Studios' Chief Creative Officer, Kevin Feige.
" 'Ant-Man' has kind of become that franchise, certainly with 'Ant-Man and the Wasp', but 'Power Pack' still is one of many things we discuss..."
Created by writer Louise Simonson and illustrator June Brigman, Marvel's "Power Pack" #1 (May 1984), was the first team of preteen superheroes in the 'Marvel Universe'.
The title was relaunched in 2005 for younger readers.
"...'Alex', 'Julie', 'Jack' and 'Katie Power' are four normal kids whose scientist father discovered an efficient and ecologically clean power generator, with a potential downside of destroying the planet. "The...

Deadline has confirmed that Marvel’s Australian first-unit production of upcoming Asian superhero movie Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has suspended production as director Destin Daniel Cretton is self isolating himself after the advise of a doctor. Second unit production of Shang-Chi continues. The film has been shooting in Australia since February.
While Cretton wasn’t reportedly feeling symptoms of the coronavirus, he opted to be tested as he has a newborn baby, and wanted to exercise extra caution. He is currently awaiting results of that test.

Following a number of release dates moving and premieres being cancelled, Marvel and Disney have decided to temporarly shutter production on “Shang-Chi.”
The delay comes due to director Destin Daniel Cretton being asked by a doctor to self-isolate. Cretton was not feeling symptoms of Covid-19, but chose be tested as a precaution since he is a new father. He is self-isolating as he awaits his test results.
The movie had been shooting in Australia since February. The second unit will continue production at this time.
Marvel’s note to the crew read:

With Captain Marvel just over a couple of weeks away from release, the fans are on the verge of finally getting answers to some of their biggest questions, one of the most frequently asked being, why did Nick Fury go two decades without giving his old friend Carol Danvers a call? Executive producer Jonathan Schwartz has already assured us that we’ll find out when the film hits theaters, but if you can’t wait that long, McU Cosmic has shared a rumored explanation that offers an interesting and perfectly plausible answer.
The report from Jeremy Conrad draws on an old excerpt from the Captain Marvel Prelude comic in which Fury tells Maria Hill, “If we do our job, we’ll never be in a position of having to call her,” the “her” in this sentence of course being Captain Marvel. According to the latest hearsay, Nick means exactly what he says,...

Setting its story well over a decade before the events of 2008’s franchise-founding Iron Man, the upcoming Captain Marvel exists in its own relatively isolated period within the McU timeline. Nonetheless, the movie still holds some noteworthy connections to the rest of the Marvel saga.
One link to the wider McU that we knew about months before we’d even seen our first footage from the film is Nick Fury’s pager, which previously showed up in the post-credits sequence of Avengers: Infinity War and can now be seen in the new Russian-dubbed teaser for Carol Danvers’ big screen debut. In the short preview, viewable above, we witness Samuel L. Jackson’s character typing the words “With Target” into his pager, most likely referring to Captain Marvel herself, then later handing the prop over to Carol. Presumably, Nick will be getting his device back by the end of the movie,...

While 2017’s Wonder Woman was far from the first major female-led superhero movie, it was arguably the first to truly break from the pattern of films in this category being critically panned box office bombs. Jump to the present day, and Captain Marvel is currently looking on course to show that the DC flick wasn’t just a one-off, and according to executive producer Jonathan Schwartz, Patty Jenkins’ film was an inspiration of sorts for the new movie.
Speaking to ComicBook.com, Schwartz reflected on the success of Wonder Woman, recalling how the feature proved resonant with female audiences in ways that comic book movies rarely do:
“What was so great about Wonder Woman was talking to female audience members afterwards about how they felt watching the movie. A lot of the people I talked to just said, ‘I’ve never felt like that watching a movie before in my entire life.

“It’s hard to say goodbye,” laments Dennis Quaid’s character who is having a hard time letting go of the past in the newly released trailer for Screen Gems’ The Intruder. Deon Taylor directed the thriller which also stars Meaghan Good, Michael Ealy, and Power actor Joseph Sikora.
The pic follows a young married couple (Ealy and Good) who buy their dream house in the Napa Valley, thinking they have found the perfect home to take their next steps as a family. But when the strangely attached seller (Quaid) continues to infiltrate their lives, they begin to suspect that he has hidden motivations beyond a quick sale.
David Loughery wrote the script. Taylor, Roxanne Avent, Mark Burg, Jonathan Schwartz, and Brad Kaplan produced the film. Screen Gems, which picked up the worldwide distribution rights for mid-seven-figure at this year’s Cannes festival, will release the pic April 26.
