The Georgia State House passed a bill that makes it easier for police to arrest suspected illegal immigrants.
The bill would make it easier for police departments to identify and arrest undocumented immigrants. Under the proposed law, sheriffs must report to federal authorities if someone they arrest does not have documentation. Local governments could lose state funding if they don’t report such cases.
The state House voted 97-74 for House Bill 1105, which was sponsored by state Rep. Jesse Petrea (R).
The bill comes after Laken Riley, an Augusta University nursing student, was beaten to death by an undocumented immigrant. On February 22, she was found dead in the woods on the University of Georgia’s campus after her roommate called the police, reporting that she did not return from a morning run. The man accused of the crime is a Venezuelan migrant Jose Ibarra, who crossed into the U.S.

After 37 years in the making, “Of Things Past” will debut on Oct. 3 on Amazon, Vudu and other major VOD platforms. Reimagined by Tga Productions and Cedar Films Studios, the movie will include footage from both 1985 — when filming began — and 2022, when an additional storyline was shot.
The film, directed by D. Paul Thomas and Eric Rafael Ibarra, stars four-time Emmy winner Michael Moriarty and Louise Caire Clark, who portray young couple Michael and Laura Dietrich as they struggle to save their marriage after losing their 2-year-old son. When saving the life of young girl Kiki in an automobile accident, Michael begins to forgive himself for the death of his son. Adult Kiki, played by Tara Reid, then visits Laura in Boston nearly 40 years later while Michael is dying, revealing long-held secrets. Inspired by true events, the film explores themes of betrayal and the power of forgiveness.

FX’s Mayans M.C. season five episode seven says goodbye to two major, longtime players as we head into the final stretch of episodes. The body count explodes in episode seven, with Emily finally getting her hands bloody instead of calling on Ez to do her dirty work, and a Santo Padre associate is taken out after being labeled the club’s rat. Plus, Ibarra’s son finally exacts his revenge at the most inopportune time.
But it’s the gut-wrenching deaths of two key Mayans M.C. characters that make episode seven so heartbreaking.
Plenty of spoilers ahead…you’ve been warned!

Human pride can be considered of the seven deadly sins because not even God’s favorite was spared from this cardinal flaw. This is one such trait that finds its way into people who are exceptionally good at what they do and bubble with confidence after a long stretch of good luck. However, some time or other, this luck runs out, and what follows is so horrible that people regret the pride that got them in that position. Da Dan Gallagher (Joshua Jackson) in Paramount’s Fatal Attraction TV series was a man who fell prey to the same cardinal sin that got God’s favorite angel cast out. Dan’s pride and his enormous arrogance resulted in his life being turned upside down, although there was a little lust mixed in there. The way Dan’s life went into shambles, one can only think that it was fate that...

FX’s Mayans M.C. season five episode one ended with Creeper being repeatedly stabbed in prison. Episode two, “Lord Help My Poor Soul,” opens with Santo Padre meeting to discuss the attack. Angel (Clayton Cardenas) knows half the guards belong to Iron War, and Gilly (Vincent Vargas) believes the attack happened right after he finished visiting with Creeper.
They don’t know Creeper’s condition, but the attack was brutal.
Kate (Stella Maeve) visits Creeper (Joseph Raymond Lucero) at the hospital, where he’s handcuffed and hooked up to machines. He’s conscious and orders her to leave, and she wants to put him in protective custody. He refuses, and Kate confesses she wishes she’d never accepted this assignment. Buenos Aires, March 30 (Ians) Boca Juniors have parted ways with manager Hugo Ibarra after a lackluster start to Argentina’s domestic football season, the Buenos Aires club said.
The 48-year-old will be replaced on an interim basis by assistant coach Mariano Herron; according to a Boca statement, a Xinhua report said.
“The reserve coaching staff is going to take charge for now, hopefully only for a few days,” club director Mauricio Serna said on Wednesday.
“It’s not easy, but we are already working to bring in a new head coach.”
Ibarra led Boca to 20 wins, seven draws and nine defeats after replacing Sebastian Battaglia last July.
Boca are currently 14th in Argentina’s 28-team Primera Division standings with 11 points from eight games.

In a bid to address the underrepresentation of women in film and television, a new production company run by three women filmmakers in Mexico has launched. Dubbed Anónima Media, it’s founded by entrepreneur-journalist-producer Bárbara Arredondo Ayala, actor-producer Eréndira Ibarra and scriptwriter-producer Natasha Ybarra-Klor with the mission to create content for and by women of Latin America and Spain.
“We want to create spaces where women can freely tell their own stories from their diverse realities and thus strengthen the new wave of talent from Ibero-American women,” said Arredondo Ayala, co-founder of Decididas, an online platform that seeks to raise awareness on the work of women role models.
“Real inclusion, the one we seek, has as its mission to vindicate all the unrecognized players out there so that no one ever again remains anonymous,” said Ibarra, whose acting credits includes Netflix’s “Sense8” and the movie “Matrix: Resurrections.” Ibarra pointed...
