His US-based slate includes Rain, a 10-part drama based on a series of books by Barry Eisler about the exploits of a Japanese-American contract killer named John Rain.

After purchasing rights to Australian author Matthew Reilly's sci-fi series Hover Car Racer, Disney put the project into motion more than a year ago with talks to various directors including music video director Fredrik Bond. Scriptwriters Blaise Hemingway, David Digilio and John Sayles all worked on Hover Car 3D, based on Reilly's novels about a hover car racer battling corrupt government officials as he escorts an informant. The project stalled but The Hollywood Reporter confirmed today that Disney looked to bring the film back to life by hiring Dan Harris to write the latest screenplay. Harris wrote the superhero hits X2: X-Men United and Superman Returns.
