Ladies and gentlemen, make way for “Bertha Cee Lo Green.”
Yes indeed, that’s the name The Voice‘s Season 5 runner-up Jacquie Lee says she gave to the elderly woman who lives in her stomach (the same old lady that rival coach Cee Lo Green accused her of swallowing after a rousing rendition of The Jackson 5′s “Who’s Lovin’ You”).
Yet while the 16-year-old New Jersey native is quick to joke about her soulful alter-ego, she’s super serious about the education she received on NBC’s reality singing juggernaut. “I basically got five years of music-industry experience packed into one season,...

How’s this for a nifty twist of fate?
As college student Matthew Schuler found himself getting hooked on Season 3 of The Voice — and getting inspired by eventual winner Cassadee Pope — he also found himself becoming enamored with the music and life story of British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.
“He left his home at 16 and went to London to really pursue his dream,” Schuler explains. “And I got to thinking, ‘Ed Sheeran’s the man, he’s super young and he’s a beast.’ I knew if I wanted to really make a career out of this, I had to start...

It's Adam Levine's world, we just live in it. At the very least, The Voice coach and sexiest man alive is having an outstanding year, especially now that he can add "two-time winner" to his extensive résumé.

Celine Dion graced the stage of The Voice finale twice on Tuesday night, delivering a pair of inimitable vocal performances.
Celine Dion On 'The Voice'
Dion’s first appearance on the reality singing competition’s stage was with the show’s eventual winner, Tessanne Chin. When the contestant realized that she was going to sing a song with the musical legend, she broke down in happy tears. The pair sang Celine’s upbeat 1992 hit “Love Can Move Mountains.”
“She is my idol! I remember watching everything she has done since I was a 12-year-old girl,” Chin told HollywoodLife.com following the performance. “She is a woman that I hold regard for. I want to thank her for inspiring me and making me feel that this is possible. Her story is such a story — she is so inspiring with 14 brothers and sisters and living a very modest lifestyle and look at her now!

The Voice’s season finale aired last night with Will Champlin and Tessanne Chin from Team Adam Levine and Jacquie Lee from Team Christina Aguilera competing for the winning title. Lady Gaga, Aloe Blacc, Celine Dion, Ne-Yo, Paramore and OneRepublic joined the contestants to perform in a star-studded finale.
The Voice Recap: Group Performances
Chin, Lee and Champlin opened the star-studded night with the rest of the Top 20 performing Outasight’s “Tonight Is The Night.” It was great seeing the rest of the contestants back, and the performance was a lot of fun.
For her Bring-Back Performance Lee brought Matthew Schuler, Caroline Pennell, James Wolpert and Cole Vosbury back to sing an entertaining — but shortened — rendition of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” The performance had the coaches rocking out in their seats.
Josh Logan, Schuler, Nic Hawk, Preston Pohl and Ray Boudreaux, some of the eliminated male contestants, came together and performed “Treasure” by Bruno Mars.

Oh, X Factor, always swimming against the tide. The producers didn't take the hint when The Voice wisely pared down to a one-hour performance show this week. So, lucky viewers were treated to three rounds of performances by the top four. Before The Voice’s first season premiered, it was marketed as the reality singing competition that would get rid of all the gimmicks. It was about nothing but pure talent. There weren’t judges, but instead, there were friendly coaches, who would find good vocalists and help them become great. The auditions were blind, which ensured that only the very best singers would get the chance to compete on the show, regardless of their appearance. It was all about the notes, the runs, the falsettos, and the voices that sent chills down viewers’ spines. This was The Voice.

Tessanne Chin left Adam Levine speechless with her Dec. 9 performance of ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water,’ but it also left her in tears. She talked exclusively to HollywoodLife.com after her performance about what had her so upset — and the impact she hopes it had on others.
It’s no doubt that Tessanne Chin is a fan favorite on The Voice because of her amazing range. However, it hasn’t always been easy for her. The 28-year-old performer revealed that she got bad news this week, making her performance that much harder. You wouldn’t be able to tell, though — she sung her heart out.
Tessanne Chin On ‘The Voice’: It Was Therapeutic
“I think I left my heart out there,” she told HollywoodLife.com after her performance of the Simon and Garfunkel hit song. “I left everything that I was feeling on stage and it was very much therapeutic.

We're one week away from the season finale of The Voice and there's still no clear winner. They seem to want us to think it's Tessanne Chin, but it could just as easily be Will Champlin. Either way, it's going to be a good year for coach Adam Levine, as two of his three teammates will almost certainly be among the top three in the finals.

During her top five performance, Tessanne took on one of the most difficult songs ever — and completely nailed it. If it wasn’t already a definite, her Dec. 9 performance proved that she should be in the final two.
Week after week, Tessanne Chin impresses the coaches and the audiences alike. However, when she took on “Bridge Over Trouble Water,” it was unlike any of her past performances — it literally left Adam Levine (and me) speechless. There is absolutely no way that she won’t make it to the finals.
Tessanne Chin On ‘The Voice’: Why She’s Got It All
She’s definitely the full package. At 28, her voice is at its peak. During rehearsals for her Dec. 9 performance, she got extremely emotional. Adam made it clear that she had just found out about a personal issue and was working through a hard time, but they didn’t over share — step one to stardom.

It’s really getting down to the wire on ‘The Voice!’ On Dec. 9, the top five performers took the stage and naturally — not one fell flat!
It looks like Adam Levine‘s Team may take this season. With three singers left, every one of them just got better and better — and Tessanne Chin closed out the show with a rendition of “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” since they obviously saved the best for last. While she was going through an emotional time in her life, it only made her voice stronger — and made us fall more and more in love with her. We were speechless after the performance, just like her coach was.

Last night’s The Voice was a tough elimination. A really tough elimination. In a shocking turn of events, former front-runner Matthew Schuler was sent home by America. Schuler found himself in the bottom two alongside James Wolpert and at the mercy of the only remaining Twitter save of the season. Despite shaky performances from Wolpert this week, America heard coach Adam Levine’s plea and saved him. This leaves five competitors total from teams Levine, Christina Aguilera, and Blake Shelton. Tessanne Chin, Wolpert, Will Champlin, Cole Vosbury, and Jacquie Lee.

It was the end of the road for Matthew Schuler on Tuesday's (Dec. 3) episode of "The Voice," with the former Season 5 frontrunner failing to earn enough of America's votes for the second week in a row. After a one-week reprieve thanks to the Instant Save the week prior, Schuler didn't prove so lucky the second time around, meaning the Team Christina Aguilera artist was shown the door.
Speaking with reporters backstage following his elimination, Schuler opened up about his final moments with his superstar coach. "Well the first thing she said was, 'First off, enjoy your holiday,'" he said with a laugh. "I'm definitely going to enjoy it with my family because they've supported me through this crazy time. Not just my immediate family, but all my aunts, uncles and cousins back home, they've seriously held me down so I want to see them and give them some love.

Dear Carson Daly,
It’s easy to understand the allure of claiming original American Idol Kelly Clarkson as a member of The Voice family — she did, after all, serve as a Season 2 advisor, and rocked the Season 5 stage tonight with a lively, lovely rendition of “Underneath the Tree.”
But dude, it’s imperative that you realize your cheeky elbowing of Fox’s reality-singing competition quickly crossed the line into creepy territory tonight after you grinningly declared to the pregnant diva that, “We feel like it’s our baby!” I’m surprised Ms. Clarkson didn’t drop her glittery red mic,...

Stretched throughout the hour, with host Carson Daly revealing one safe artist at a time (you know, to really make 'em sweat), the order of those safe went as follows: First, Team Christina's Jacquie Lee, followed by Team Blake's Cole Vosbury. They were followed by Team Adam's Tessanne Chin, leaving her team mates Will Champlin and James Wolpert and Team Christina's Matthew Schuler to round out the bottom three.
The final artist safe, moving on to next week's semi-finals was revealed to be Will, leaving James and Matt to battle it out for that final Instant Save. With Christina having been in this situation with Matt...

The pride and joy of Team Adam told HollywoodLife.com she’ll never stop growing, which is why we think she could win it all!
In a matter of hours, Tessanne Chin will find out whether or not she’ll make it through to the final four contestants of The Voice‘s fifth season, and something tells us the Jamaican songstress has nothing to worry about. HollywoodLife.com caught up with Tessanne before the taping of the Dec. 3 elimination episode, and she reaffirmed why we’re putting so much faith in her.
“I think you never stop growing,” she explained. “It’s not about what note you hit, it’s more about depth. It’s about what you can show and what you can do, and that’s why I liked doing ‘Redemption Song.’ I had a chance to strip it down, and I love that opportunity; that is the...

Best. Performance. Show. Ever. While it may be a bit too early to call The Voice's Monday night show, which featured 12 amazing performances from the final six contestants, the best ever, it definitely ranks within the NBC reality hit's top 10 episodes of all time. And while it pleased our ears to no end, it hurt our hearts because it means someone crazy-talented will be booted tonight. But it seems like we're more nervous than the contestants! "I'm trying not to be nervous and to just live in the moment, just have fun while I'm here," Matthew Schuler, who is on Christina Aguilera's team, told E! News after the show. "It's been an amazing experience. Whatever happens happens."...

The pride and joy of Team Christina, Matthew Schuler recently put his own unique spin on a little song you might have heard of, One Direction‘s “Story Of My Life.” The Pennsylvania native tackled 1D’s signature ditty Dec. 2 on The Voice, and even though he powered through with flying colors, he admitted to HollywoodLife.com that he was fearful of Directioners’ wrath.
Here’s what he told us when we caught up with him after the live show:

It's one thing to perform one of your coach's career-defining songs; it's yet another to do it powerfully and earn her full blessing.
That's what New Jersey teen Jacquie Lee did Monday night on The Voice when she tackled Christina Aguilera's coming-of-age ballad "The Voice Within" with a vocal range rivaling her own coach, who was feeling their connection.

Might there finally be a clear frontrunner on this season of The Voice? Because Cole Vosbury has had a pretty solid showing on the iTunes songs chart every week since viewer voting began (this week he's virtually neck and neck with Tessanne Chin, who's at the head of the class for the very first time). At the very least, he is the dark horse to keep an eye on – especially because he hails from three-time winner Blake Shelton's team. (Plus, there's the whole Duck Dynasty vibe he gives off with that broom-like beard.

When competing on a show like "The Voice," you always want to take on music that the audience loves and is familiar with, but there's always an inherent risk in tackling music by groups with particularly rabid fan bases. Just ask Matthew Schuler.
On Monday's (Dec. 2) episode of the hit NBC reality show, Schuler opted to dedicate One Direction's "Story of My Life" to his family, but speaking with Zap2it backstage afterwards, he admitted he was aware his decision could backfire. The Top 6 contestants on The Voice performed two songs each last night – one chosen by their coaches and one chosen by themselves. Powerhouse Jacquie Lee of Team Christina Aguilera stole the show with her emotional performances.
The Voice Recap: Cole Vosbury Performances
Cole Vosbury, the last remaining contestant on Blake Shelton’s team, performed Hall & Oates’ “Rich Girl,” as chosen by his coach. Cee Lo Green, Vosbury’s former coach, told the singer he was still rooting for him, while Adam Levine praised his arrangement. Vosbury chose to sing James Morrison’s “A Better Man” and dedicated it to his first love. The emotional performance balanced out his fun performance from earlier.
Tessanne Chin Performances
Tessanne Chin, one of three contestants on Levine’s team, started with Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song.” While Chin was nervous because Marley is an important figure in her country, she slayed the song, as usual.

When it comes to warm fuzzies, good vibrations and positive feedback, The Voice has a coaching panel that’s second to none.
Nevertheless, if you listen verrrrry carefully, you can hear their withering subtext, their coded messages to the viewing public in favor of one contestant or in opposition to another.
Take Blake Shelton’s repeated mentions tonight that it’s not just about hitting big notes full-on (a subtle put-down of Jacquie Lee?) or Adam Levine essentially telling Matthew Schuler he peaked with his Top 12 week cover of “Hallelujah.”

And then there were six. As Season 5 of "The Voice" enters its final month, the remaining contestants take the stage on Monday (Dec. 2) to fight of America's vote, tackling two songs each. (Gotta pad out those two hours somehow!) With coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera each responsible for choosing one song for each of their artists (while a team-less CeeLo Green twiddles his thumbs), the remaining Top 6 will get the chance to select their second song. Will they make the right choices and earn some love? Let's find out!
Up first tonight is Team Blake's last man standing, Cole Vosbury. After tackling country last week, his coach wants him to have a little fun and selects Hall & Oates' "Rich Girl" for his first song of the night. Cole sounds great on the song, which is to be expected, but could it be enough to keep Team Blake in the game?...

Even after four seasons and countless elimination episodes of The Voice, host Carson Daly still hates to see contestants get the boot. "It's hard.
