Super Bowl Lvii viewers observed players slipping and sliding on the grass throughout the game. While it’s hard to know its exact impact on the game, players were openly frustrated over the field conditions. The problem was evident in the first half of the Super Bowl, and new reports suggest that Rihanna’s large-scale halftime performance worsened the conditions in the second half.

Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, Carnival Horizon, was officially named by godmother Queen Latifah in a ceremony in New York last week that showcased the talented young artists from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital whose artwork adorns the Dreamscape, a stunning three-deck-high Led sculpture in the ship’s atrium.
Following the ceremony, Latifah squared off against Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl champion Jake Elliott in Lip Sync Battle: Horizon modeled after the hit Paramount Network TV series and rolling out across the Carnival fleet.
Latifah rocked the house with her incredible interpretation of the Weather Girls classic “It’s Raining Men,” while Elliott had a chance to live out his rock star fantasies performing Whitesnake’s arena anthem “Here I Go Again,” all performed with back-up dancers from Carnival Horizon’s Playlist Productions to a packed house in the Liquid Lounge.

Big things are afoot for the Cardboard Creations, the small team behind Southern-inflected mystery adventure game “Kentucky Route Zero”: they released the first of five episodes for their game earlier this month, are in the process of picking up a Steam Greenlight deal, and are in the running for several awards at this year’s Independent Games Festival.
Phew.
Still, the breakneck pace didn’t keep “Kentucky Route Zero” co-creator Jake Elliott from sitting down for a fascinating interview with Rock, Paper, Shotgun.
Of particular interest are the teams plans for releasing the rest of the game: “We have a time frame. We’re trying to get the last one out a year after the first one came out, so January 2014,” Elliott explained. “That gives us three months for each Act.” A quick bit of finger-counting reveals that the next installment should come out in March or April.
