Narrated by Thomas Jane | Featuring: Dr Steven Greer, Jack Auman, Dr Jan Bravo, Professor Robert Jacobs | Directed by Amardeep Kaleka
Sirius is a feature length documentary that follows Dr. Steven Greer – an emergency room doctor turned UFO researcher – as he struggles to disclose top secret information about classified energy & propulsion techniques.
My brain hurts. After watching Sirius, I have been bombarded with more information than I can really cope with in the space (no pun intended) of two hours. What starts off as exposing the hidden secrets in the American government soon turns into Aliens and UFOs visiting Earth and how they can be contacted and recorded through technological and spiritual means. Then we are taken back in time and told about the history of UFO visitations to Earth exploring the fact that ‘they’ might have been visiting us for years. Then we are seeing a body of maybe an alien which has been discovered.

It would be easy enough to write off Sirius as mere catnip for the UFO/conspiracy theory crowd. From its countless images of "flying saucers" streaking the night sky, to its function as an uncritical mouthpiece for featured player and Cseti (Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence) founder Steven Greer, and its intimations of 9/11 trutherism, Amardeep Kaleka's documentary often seems like little more than preaching-to-the-converted, New Age drivel. And yet, by framing its argument about governmental cover-up of alien contact with Eisenhower's famous warning about the military-industrial complex, and then by taking that dictum into the present day to indict mega-corporations for burying efforts to develop clean energy, the film presents a tenable political argument....

At this point would it really shock anyone to find out that we're not alone in the universe? Some believe that aliens and UFOs have been visiting our planet since the dawn of time. One scientist in particular claims to have proof in his discovery of a tiny 6" alien corpse.
The scientist in question, Doctor Steven Greer, is a former emergency medical physician and is currently an alien investigator. Greer made his discovery in Chile's Atacama Desert and has since been prodding the U.S. government to finally confirm the existence of extraterrestrial life, but shockingly enough, he's not making any headway.
To bring his discovery to the world, on April 23rd he's releasing a film called Sirius to limited theatres and VOD, which features his theories on alternate technologies that may exist that could have been used to get this little guy planet-side. Oh, and did we mention that...

“Cradle Will Fall” marks the debut of co directors Lars Jacobson and Amardeep Kaleka, and is based upon the true story of Andrea Yates, a Texan mother who drowned her five young children in 2001 while suffering from depression. How closely the film follows the actual events is debatable, since Jacobson and Kaleka have taken an overtly horror-friendly approach, focusing on slash and stalk sequences and gore murders rather than attempting to deliver a psychological examination of the woman’s mental breakdown, and clearly showing the influence of a variety of genre classics. The film is being released on region 2 DVD via Momentum Pictures, and is one of the rare examples of a production arguably benefiting from a title change, as although “Cradle Will Fall” may sound somewhat generic, it is infinitely more appropriate than the bizarre gag-like original moniker “Baby Blues”. The film follows actress Colleen Porch (also in “I Know Who Killed Me...

Sorry, didn't have time to get to all of them, but here are the DVD highlights for Tuesday, August 5th, 2008...
Baby Blues (2007)
Directed by Amardeep Kaleka & Lars E. Jacobson
A pretty disturbing little flick, actually. One of the only movies I can recall that shows a mother not just killing her children, but doing so in a traditional stalk-n-slash style. The story is about a mother who is pushed too far when her truck-driver husband hits the road again and snaps, killing all but one of her children who plays the traditional survivor girl role this time... Dead Fury (2007)
Directed by Frank Sudol
The second animated horror movie from City of Rott (review) director Frank Sudol. This time, a group of hunters accidentally find the realm of a bunch of demonic freaks. They want to possess anything that’s on their land,...
