- Jeff Richards is a talented producer, director, and above all a screen writer.
Richards was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, where he first developed his taste for the film arts. He began writing short stories and adaptations at the age of 9, and by the age of 28 he had completed his fourth full feature script, as well as his most prominent one, Christmasland, which has received much praise nationwide.
Richards pulled out of college to pursue his dreams. He moved to Richmond, Virginia, where he was able to develop his own personal style. After coming back to WV, he co-founded Completely Naked Productions and directed Extreme Art, his first full feature film.
Since, Richards has written and directed several short films and faux trailers, including the internet viral phenomenon, Hilljack Samurai. Starting his career making "midnight movies", Richards has recently made the transition into making faith-based films. After directing the award winning documentary Virtus, Richards (formally an atheist) converted to the Christian faith. He is currently directing a documentary, with his wife Jenny, on his journey from atheism into the ministry. Richards is also an outspoken advocate for bridging the gap between science and Reformed theology, causing him both support and critiques from many in the field. Lastly, he has recently become the Associate pastor for Torch Baptist Church in Torch Ohio. There he works with fellow filmmaker and lead pastor, Dr. Eric Benson, to build the church's media and film ministry.
