The first Massachusetts Independent Film Festival is taking place Thursday, December 1st, in Arlington, Ma, and one of the highlights is sure to be the debut of Christopher Di Nunzio's new film Her Heart Still Beats hosted by Patricia Films and Creepy Kid Productions, which will be followed by a Q&A. Also screening that night are six other films by some of New England's best independent filmmakers.
The festival promoters hope to make Miff a yearly event. They will connect local filmmakers by having a section devoted to New England films and also plan to have a section for horror films, a genre that is often forgotten on the festival circuit. The Massachusetts Independent Film Fest will be truly indie... big budgets need not apply!
It's being held at The Regent Theatre (click here for tickets), 7 Medford Street, Arlington, Massachusetts - Thursday, December 1, 7:30Pm
