- Amy Powell is a recognized entertainment industry leader having served in top positions at Paramount Pictures and Sony Pictures. In 2020, Powell co-founded Brillstein Creative Partners, a joint-venture with the talent management team at Brillstein Management Partners, launching a global media company focused on premium storytelling across all platforms. Prior to founding BCP, Powell served as the President of Paramount Television & Digital Entertainment, which she founded in 2013, reviving the defunct television production division of Paramount Pictures. Before that, she served as the President and Executive Vice President of Digital Marketing and Content Strategy at Paramount Pictures. Prior to joining Paramount Pictures, Powell was the Senior Vice President of Digital Marketing at Sony Pictures.
During her tenure at Paramount Television, Powell greenlit and produced award-winning commercial hit series including: Jack Ryan, 13 Reasons Why, The Alienist, Catch 22, Boomerang, Home Before Dark, Grease Live, The Haunting of Hill House, Defending Jacob, Looking for Alaska, School of Rock, Berlin Station, Shooter and more. Paramount Television distributed programming for a wide range of services including Apple, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, HBO, TNT, Epix, Nickelodeon, Fox, BET, USA and more.
Powell's longtime leadership in digital content creation and marketing led to the creation of the viral marketing campaign "Demand It" for the film Paranormal Activity which became one of the most successful horror film franchises of all time. Powell's team also launched Yahoo!'s first web series Burning Love from Ben Stiller and produced a slate of movies including the Justin Bieber film Never Say Never and the Katy Perry film Part of Me.
