When she was just 31, multi-disciplinary French artist Prune Nourry was faced with an unexpected challenge in the form of a breast cancer diagnosis. Nourry’s work, much of it performance-based, has always been cross-disciplinary and engaged with the female body; that she’d end up making a film about her experiences with her own body comes as no great surprise. It’s even less of a shock that the final product, “Serendipity,” is such a joy to watch, not only for fans of Nourry’s work, but for any audience looking to engage with tough questions about self and health in a fresh way.
Part art film, part non-fiction testimonial, “Serendipity” stems from Nourry’s previous work, and Nourry pushes the simple idea into unique spaces. The film’s unpredictability lies in Nourry’s ability to package a personal hurdle as both an iteration and survey of her professional work.

Last week I sat with Ezra Miller, a mysterious but important character in the upcoming movie in the Harry Potter canon, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. We talked to the prodigal child actor about his love and fandom for the entire Harry Potter series, tried to get him to dish about the future of the franchise as well as of Flash and Justice League characters, as well as about his preparatory work for this and other of his impressive roles.
Read on as we get Ezra's first ever reactions to the film, the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election and even Donald Trump, and some of the projects that are most important to him--in and out of the Hollywood studio.
You actually grew up during the time period between Harry Potter one and now. Were you a rabid fan of these books?

Coca-Cola bet that an unknown Somali rapper could support its biggest marketing campaign ever. The company was right, and it may have launched a new star. Or not.

Each tablet, or loh, is used for note taking at school; pupils write their alphabets and math equations, as well as the phrases they are learning from the Qu'ran, in ink on these tablets.
