We recently learned that John Cusack was cast as the lead in the big screen adaptation of Stephen King's Cell. The actor is also in negotiations to join an aerial action-thriller called Airspace, which is set to be directed by Roger Avary, writer of films such as Pulp Fiction, Silent Hill, Beowulf and The Rules of Attraction.
The film is described as Duel in the sky, the "story follows a work-absorbed charter pilot (Cusack) flying home to his family who must escape a sudden attack by a heavily armed MiG fighter jet after finding a mysterious briefcase in his plane." That sounds like it could be kind of cool. I loved Steven Spielberg's Duel, I'm a fan of Cusack, and I love aviation, so this sounds like a movie I'd enjoy.
Briana Hartman (Brother's Keeper) wrote the screenplay based on a story by Michael B. Chait, and Avary...
