In Emeryville, California, a masked thief was captured stealing 50 iPhones from an Apple Store in broad daylight.
The alleged thief, identified as 22-year-old Tyler Mims, was videoed taking iPhones from their displays and stuffing them into his pockets. Mims wore all black but stood out with his red sneakers. According to authorities, the total of all the iPhones was $49,230.
The person recording the video closely followed Mims and captured him walking past a police car before leaving in a black Hyundai. Footage of the incident has then spread to multiple social media platforms including TikTok and X. No witnesses were injured.

“Willow” creator Jon Kasdan has broken his silence about the show’s removal from Disney+.
“I’ve been quiet on this news that #Willow is leaving @DisneyPlus ’cause… I’m kinda into it,” Kasdan wrote on Twitter. “I grew up at a time when @Disney movies were periodically re-released and not available to own, and it made them… more special.”
The show will be available to stream until May 26 on the service. Several other titles such as “Big Shot” on Disney+ and Hulu’s “Dollface,” “Y: The Last Man” will also leave their respective streamers that day.

Willow creator Jon Kasdan remains hopeful that we will see a second season of the fantasy series, following news that it is ending, at least for now. Kasdan took to social media Thursday to reassure fans that a Season 2 has been written and he has every hope that it will eventually air, but not for at least the next 12 months.
“A decision was made last week to release our main cast for other series opportunities that may arise for them in the coming year,” he wrote, taking issue with Deadline’s and other online reports of the series ending. He added that he feels “fairly confident that, if asked, neither I, nor the folks at Lucasfilm, would or have actually characterized it” as a final cancellation.
As Deadline noted, while the series won’t continue in its current form as the cast has been released, Willow remains an important IP in the Lucasfilm library,...

“Willow” creator Jon Kasdan has addressed reports from earlier this week that the fantasy series has been canceled after one season.
In a statement posted to Twitter Friday morning, Kasdan, in an attempt to clarify the “juicy” and “splashy” headlines he saw online, that Lucasfilm and the production team made a decision last week to “release our main cast for other series opportunities that may arise for them in the coming year.” He added that he feels “fairly confident that, if asked, neither I, nor the folks at Lucasfilm, would or have actually characterized” their predicament as a full-on, final cancellation.

One particular track on the soundtrack to Due Date, the new road trip comedy with Robert Downey, Jr. and Zach Galifianakis, exerted a curious fascination for me – This is Why I’m Hot, by the modest Mims. Mind, it wasn’t so much the song itself as one specific lyric, which (if I heard it correctly) sounded very much like: “I’m representing York”. Now, if that is indeed the correct interpretation, then I can only wholeheartedly applaud the sentiment. It’s about time the northern cities of the United Kingdom were celebrated in contemporary song. One minor quibble would be Mims’ neglect to devote a verse to the prodigious merits of the Jorvik Viking Centre, but you can’t have everything, can you?
Indeed not. Just ask Christophe Beck. His is the name you will see attached to the ‘music by’ credit if you go and catch Rdj and...

Due Date
Directed by: Todd Phillips
Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Zach Galifianakis, Juliette Lewis, Jamie Foxx, Danny McBride, Michelle Monaghan
Running Time: 1 hr 40 mins
Rating: R
Release Date: November 5, 2010
Plot: A man (Downey Jr.) rushing to get home to his almost in-labor wife (Monaghan) embarks on a wild impromptu road trip with an aspiring TV actor named Ethan (Galifianakis) after they are both put on the “No-Fly” List.
Who’S It For? Fans of The Hangover will be more welcoming to the rampant stupidity of Due Date, but even they will agree that the previous Todd Phillips/Galifianakis pairing wasn’t as overly lazy as this one.
Expectations: With Galifianakis given more of a main role as opposed to his utilization in The Hangover, I was hoping that this film would give him plenty of leeway to present himself as a comedic force with serious unique potential. However, proud usage...

Director Todd Phillips (The Hangover) brings us another story of a trip gone terribly awry and the soundtrack sets the tone of a crazed journey that has a habit of throwing those on the trip (and us in the audience) for a loop (who was also surprised to see Mims on the lineup?) at every other turn. Just as our two mismatched travel companions come together, the seemingly random selection of artists featured on the soundtrack (Band of Horses, Cream, Rod Stewart) end up making “sense” as they only could in a Phillips film.
