- A dock worker with no acting experience, he was cast as Scalabrino in Il ponte dei sospiri (1921) because of his size. He reprised the role in Scalabrino (1921) and was supposed to play it a third time in the serial La congiura di San Marco (1924), but he eventually went back to his original profession and was replaced by Celio Bucchi.
