Judd Apatow chats to us about The Big Sick, directing, stand-up comics and bad interviews...
Heading into UK cinemas this week, The Big Sick is a reinvigorating romantic comedy. It has a brilliant cast of characters, a unique pitch (boy meets girl, boy loses girl, awkward situations and a medically induced coma ensue) and a balance of drama and comedy that means you never know whether to brace yourself for a broken heart or split sides. A breath of fresh air, it’s the sort of film regular cinema goers need. It’s also the sort of film that needs regular cinema goers; it needs those that see it and enjoy it to shout about it, to tell people that it’s worth paying attention to.
Directed by Michael Showalter, the film stars Kumail Nanjiani, who co-wrote the script with his real life spouse Emily V. Gordon...

Look at any weekly lineup and you’ll see an interesting mix of flash-in-the-pan sensations, past-their-prime industry vets and acts making their debuts as they ride the wave to becoming household sensations. So below, we’ve gathered ten of our favorites from the first month of 2017.

Few late-night shows would return from the end-of-year hiatus with opera selections, but this comes from the same “Late Show” that’s never been afraid to bring classical to the 11:35 crowd. (After all,...

The always epic Bonnaroo — a four-day music and camping festival on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tenn. — boasts some huge names this year. The festival has just confirmed its headliners will be Kanye West, Elton John, Jack White and Lionel Richie. Watch the festival's teaser video and check out the 125 plus artists on the lineup below. The festival’s thirteenth year, which goes down June 12-15, will mark the surprising return of West, whose headlining set in 2008 turned into a disaster when his Glow In The Dark-themed light show didn’t start until after sunrise. Ye posted an angry rant on his blog blaming Bonnaroo organizers, but it seems that all is now forgiven. This year will mark Elton John and Lionel Richie’s first ever appearance. Tickets go on sale Feb. 22 at noon Est. Here’s the full Bonnaroo lineup: Elton John Kanye West Jack White Lionel Richie Vampire Weekend...

The first family was joined by a few famous faces for the annual national Christmas tree lighting ceremony outside the White House on Friday. Following a series of holiday performances, President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, and their girls took the stage to address the crowd as the tree was lit, all smiles despite the rain during a picture-perfect moment. While speaking, Obama took a moment to remember Nelson Mandela, mentioning "a special measure of gratitude" for the former South African president who passed away earlier this week. At the event, Michelle also spent some solo time in the spotlight to read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas to kids with one of Sesame Street's puppets, and there were several performances including appearances by Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Janelle Monae, The Avett Brothers, and more. If you ever thought Pearl Jam's "Footsteps" needed a banjo and a little taste of Soundgarden, well then Jimmy Fallon has got a treat for you.
Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell stopped by "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon's" Pearl Jam week to pay tribute to the song that initially appeared as a B-side to "Jeremy." Cornell brought in the requisite harmonica, along with Seth and Scott Avett of the Avett Brothers.
The trio gathered around closely on a Persian rug, Seth and Scott armed with an acoustic guitar and a banjo to give an intimate salute to the song that holds special meaning for Cornell.
In a backstage interview, Cornell describes his relationship to "Footsteps," the late Andrew Wood, and how the Temple of the Dog collaboration came about. Check it out below.
"Pear Jam's" new full-length, "Lighting Bolt" is in stores now, and Cornell is in the midst of a U.

With the Top 12 chopped in half and Season 4 of "The Voice" just a few brief weeks away from naming a winner, it's time we take stock of where the competition stands. Which artist holds the most power in the game? And what should each sing next week in hopes of sticking around? Below are our thoughts.
6. The Swon Brothers
Why: Let's just come out and say it: Zach and Colton are only the longest-standing duo in "Voice" history because they're country artists and this season's voting audience is clearly dominated by country fans. (How else do you explain a Top 6 that is two-thirds country?) Of all the country still in the game, these brothers are the weakest. Their harmonies and timing often falter and, of anyone, they seem the most adverse to taking any sort of risk.
What to sing next: "Ten Thousand Words" by The Avett Brothers
