[[tmz:video id="0_7yi0sz8y"]] Speaker of the House Paul Ryan wouldn't know how to run Congress if his job came with an instruction manual ... according to Florida Congressman Alan Grayson. Grayson -- a Democrat participating in the sit-in for a gun control vote -- threw major shade at Ryan just after the political protest was suspended until legislators return in July. We asked him about Ryan saying the Dems were just pulling a "publicity stunt," and that's when he went off.

Conservatives sure do like to get hung up on semantics when it helps them avoid the substance of an issue, but their recent mockery of liberals like Alan Grayson and Bernie Sanders just doesn't hold up. Sanders was criticized for recommending a ban on "automatic weapons" on the basis that fully-automatic weapons are already effectively banned, while Grayson was mocked for correctly identifying the rate of fire of an Ar-15. Both criticisms are wrong.

Hush, hush now Charlotte, Bill Maher has some whitesplaining to do. Hollywood’s diversity problem, said the host on last night’s Real Time With Bill Maher, is the Asians’ fault. "The dirty little secret," Maher said on his HBO show, "is most movies are made now with an eye to the foreign market, and Asians really are racist." When his guests, including Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane and Rep. Alan Grayson (D-fla), reacted with surprise, Maher doubled down. "I’m just…...

One of the most memorable moments of the fight to get Obamacare passed in the first place was when Congressman Alan Grayson got on the House floor and said the Republican plan is, "Don't get sick, and if you do get sick, die quickly." That was the moment that put Grayson in the national spotlight, and he told Ed Schultz on Friday that in four years, the Republican plan has not changed one single iota.

The debate over military action in Syria has produced a landfill's worth of stupidity, from every side of the debate, and every corner of the political media. This is somewhat predictable, as we all know what opinions are like, but on Thursday night's All In with Chris Hayes, "Congressman with Guts™" Alan Grayson (D-fl) made a bold incursion, from stupid into contemptible.

“I think the administration is giving only one side of the story,” Rep. Alan Grayson (D-fl) told CNN’s The Lead guest host John Berman on Thursday. Grayson told Berman that he opposes intervention in Syria because U.N. inspectors have not definitively concluded that either a chemical attack took place in Syria or that such an attack was ordered by Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

After a two-year absence, former Congressman with Guts® Alan Grayson is now the Congressman-Elect With Guts thanks to his convincing 62% to 38% trouncing of Republican Todd Long in Florida's 9th congressional district. Rep.-Elect Grayson now also figures to return to his position as the most reliable source for pungent Democratic sound bites and outraged Newsbusters articles, beginning with his appearance on Thursday night's The Young Turks, where he told host Cenk Uygur that Democrats should oppose any "Grand Bargain" that included cuts to Medicare and Social Security.

On Wednesday night's edition of The Young Turks, host Cenk Uygur revived former Congressman Alan Grayson's "Die quickly" attack, only this time with a twist: he kinda has proof. In his If I Were Obama segment, Uygur makes the case for Democrats, and President Obama, to run on the Affordable Care Act, specifically the preexisting conditions clause and health insurance premium gender discrimination, in contrast to the Republican plan: "They want you to die!"...

While the Occupy Wall Street movement continues leaderless and clearly with little working in the PR department, former Democratic Congressman Alan Grayson has taken on part of the burden of explaining and defending the movement in public. Having received a standing ovation on Real Time with Bill Maher Friday night, Grayson appeared on MSNBC tonight with Rachel Maddow, arguing that Occupy Wall Street was the logical conclusion to the stagnating economy.

One would think that the anti-corporatist ideals of the Occupy Wall Street movement would receive some safe harbor on Real Time with Bill Maher, and one would be correct that their ideology gelled entirely with the audience. But before Alan Grayson passionately stood up as a spokesman for their cause, the panel spent a fair amount of time mocking the group ruthlessly, for their "bongo drums," disorganization, and incoherence.
