Exclusive: Jack Huston is set to make his feature directorial debut with Day of the Fight, a project that will reteam him with his Boardwalk Empire colleague Michael Pitt, who will star.
Huston will also write and produce the movie about a once celebrated boxer who takes a redemptive journey through his past and present, on the day of his first fight since leaving prison. Production is underway in New York and New Jersey.
Day of the Fight will also star One Night in Miami‘s Nicolette Robinson, Oscar winner Joe Pesci, John Magaro and Ron Perlman.
Producers are also Josh Porter, Jai Stefan, Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Colleen Camp. EPs are Todd Diener and William Santor. Financing was handled by Productivity Media, Inc.

Juliette Lewis has been tapped for a key role opposite Kumail Nanjiani and Murray Bartlett in the Hulu limited series Immigrant (working title), from Pam & Tommy creator Robert Siegel.
Immigrant is the true story of Somen “Steve” Banerjee (Nanjiani), the Indian-American entrepreneur who started Chippendales. The series will detail the insane, darkly comedic, crime-ridden story behind the unique male revue that became a cultural phenomenon.
Lewis will play the series regular role of Denise. Straight-talking, no-nonsense Denise goes from Chippendales groupie to loyal right-hand consigliere to its choreographer, Nick De Noia (Murray Bartlett). She looks after the New York club, as well as the Chippendales national tours, and weathers the increasingly volatile relationship between De Noia and Chippendales founder Steve Banerjee (Nanjiani).
The cast of Immigrant also includes Annaleigh Ashford as well as recurring/guest stars Quentin Plair, Andrew Rannells, Nicola Peltz.

Exclusive: Samara Weaving, who most recently appeared in Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers and just wrapped starring opposite Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie in Damien Chazelle’s Babylon, has signed with CAA. The agency just dropped a memo to its teams announcing the deal.
It’s a busy time for Weaving, with starring roles to come this year alongside Eugenio Derbez in Disney/Hulu’s The Valet which arrives in May and Searchlight Pictures’ Chevalier set for the fall.

Most recently, his film roles have included Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman and Wash Westmoreland’s The Earthquake Bird with Alicia Vikander and Riley Keough, both for Netflix. Huston’s other credits include David O. Russell’s American Hustle (which earned him a second SAG Award for ensemble), Kill Your Darlings, the David Chase-directed Not Fade Away and Mathew Weiner’s The Romanoffs.
