Though it has always been a crowd pleasing form of entertainment, the general public still somehow has mixed feelings about professional wrestling. But one way that the art form has been integrated into pop culture over the years is through crossovers with well-known stars or brands. From Cyndi Lauper and the Rock N Wrestling era to Andre the Giant in "Princess Bride," to Mickey Rourke in "The Wrestler" and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper in "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia," to "Total Divas" on E!, there have been plenty of instances where Hollywood has brought more eyes to the world of wrestling. And the most recent example involves Golden Globe winner Paul Walter Hauser.
While the Globes don't carry the same weight as they once did (thanks to people being terrible), "Black Bird" star Hauser was excited to share his first major Hollywood award with his friends in the wrestling community. In...

What’s a great way to celebrate taking home a statue at the Golden Globes? Well, if you’re Paul Walter Hauser, you go to an All Elite Wrestling show. The star was named Best Supporting Actor in a Television Limited Series/Motion Picture at the Globes on January 1o for his dramatic portrayal of suspected serial killer Larry Hall in Apple TV+’s Black Bird, The following night he started out as just a fan attending the Aew event at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. But it certainly didn’t end that way. Interviewer Renee Paquette spoke to the star backstage during the January 11 episode of Dynamite. Hauser was next seen in the ring January 13 on Rampage (also taped at Kia Forum on January 11) having a good time with eccentric “very evil” pro wrestler Danhausen. The crowd cheered as he celebrated his Globes win and declared his love for pro wrestling.

Saraya Bevis, formerly known as WWE superstar Paige, has officially returned to Instagram, sharing a stunning new photo and using her real first name.
The former multi-time champion and ringside manager in WWE showed off a sizzling look captured during a photo shoot where she wore a full black bodysuit.
The one-piece had several belts and buckles stylishly running across her midsection, with Saraya wearing large latex or vinyl gloves, also in black. She kept both hands cradling her chin, cheeks, and side temples for the pose.
Along with the other black attire, Paige wore a huge black hat, which may resemble a large Undertaker hat to some, but is an additional fashion statement for many others.
Her eye shadow and eyebrow makeup were also dark, but Paige wore a light pink shade of...

All Renee Paquette ever wanted was to be a comedic TV host, like Chelsea Handler, Ellen DeGeneres or Jimmy Fallon. While her career hasn’t gone exactly as planned, the Canadian now known as Renee Young has quite a growing small-screen resume, nonetheless. Young is arguably WWE’s top reporter and the host of “SmackDown Live’s” after-show, “Talking Smack.” And this season, she’ll debut as one of three new cast members on spinoff reality series “Total Divas.” Joining her on the E! show are Lana and Maryse, who are married to WWE Superstars Rusev and The Miz, respectively.

Renee Young has been a breath of fresh air for World Wrestling Entertainment since signing with the company in 2012. She has been a backstage interview, host of PPV panels and helped on commentary.
She’s impressed a lot of people so much that according to the Wrestling Observer she is drawing interest from media giants Espn and Fox. Both channels are interested in signing her to a deal to be a sportscaster whenever her WWE deal expires.
Young has a history of working in sports. Prior to working for WWE, she worked for The Score television network in Canada using her real name Renee Paquette doing all kinds of sports related work for them. She was most known for doing a WWE talk show called Aftermath with Arda Ocal (now working for WWE as announcer Kyle Edwards) and former WWE referee Jimmy Korderas. The trio was quite popular...

It was announced on Wednesday by Canadian broadcaster Arda Ocal that he has been hired by WWE as a broadcaster that will be using the name Kyle Edwards. As we all know, WWE loves to rename their on-air talent when they hire them, so it’s no surprise that they would give Ocal a new name. We’re not sure where the name came from, but perhaps it was a combination of Nascar drivers Kyle Petty and Carl Edwards although it could be totally random.
The news was broken by Ocal in a tweet he sent out on Wednesday where he said: “To quote @TheRock, “Finally….” I’m beyond thrilled to join @WWE as a broadcaster. Dreams do come true… ”

Survivor Series began at the end of the 1980’s and was a themed show that saw the roster of WWE team together in elimination style tag team battles that saw the biggest stars of the day team together to form super-teams. As time went by the Survivor Series stopped being a show filled with elimination tag matches and today it features a few of them while also promoting regular matches for championships and such. 2013’s show only featured two traditional Survivor Series contests.
We are now in February of 2014 and the information since has told us that this Survivor Series event had the lowest PPV buy-rate since the show first began over two and a half decades ago. Still, it doesn’t mean that this show doesn’t have something worth watching, so here is the match listing and a look at the highlights.

With 2013 now receding in the rear view mirror, it’s time for the customary retrospectives to begin appearing on the shelves, and the first one out of the WWE stable is Best PPV Matches 2013, which as you might expect does exactly what it says on the tin. Well, almost.
My one minor gripe with the WWE and their annual PPV retrospectives is that they don’t cover the full calendar year. Though they’ve thoughtfully included a match from the, at time of writing, unreleased Hell in a Cell DVD/Blu-ray (due later this month, on 27th January), there’s nothing from either Survivor Series or TLC, and so the pedant in me has issues with it technically being the best of 2013 (particularly given the importance of the title unification bout between John Cena and Randy Orton at the latter). I could understand if they were rushing it out for...

Relive another historic year with The Best Pay-per-view Matches 2013, featuring over 15 of WWE’s most intense matches from its biggest events! The Rock returns to finally bring home the WWE Championship for the first time in ten years. Cm Punk tries to extinguish Undertaker’s Streak in front of over 80,000 screaming fans. Triple H attempts to tame The Beast, Brock Lesnar. John Cena battles back from injury to win the World Heavyweight Championship, and much more!
The whole idea of a annual release containing hand-picked matches from pay-per-view shows throughout the course of the previous year is a good one, providing fans who might not buy the shows or collect each DVD release a chance to see what WWE consider to be the best matches they’ve promoted within a calender year.
There are bound to be strong years and weaker ones in wrestling, and 2013 was a mixed bag, which...

The inaugural WWE event, Battleground, certainly lives up to its name! With a Hardcore Rules match, a tag team encounter where an entire family’s livelihood is put on the line and a WWE Championship match that has been months in the making! This brand-new pay per view comes to us from Buffalo, New York and opens with the World Title on the line…
World Heavyweight Championship Hardcore Match
Alberto Del Rio defends his World title here against the challenger, Rob Van Dam under hardcore rules. Ricardo is in Rvd’s corner for the match. The fans are into the match early on with a number of signature moves from Van Dam, including a Ddt onto a chair, a moonsault from the ringside barrier and the introduction of a ladder which gets a loud reaction. Del Rio hits a good looking back stabber and a high kick to the back of Van Dam’s head.

Welcome to this week’s results and review of WWE Raw. The first Raw of December is under way.
The show opens with “Cult of Personality” by Living Colour playing and Cm Punk making his way down the aisle and to the squared circle as we see a replay of The Shield attacking Punk last week. Punk grabs a microphone and questions why The Shield might have attacked him last Monday night. He said last week he questioned Triple H, which is obviously why he was attacked by Triple H’s “boys” last week. Punk says he doesn’t want anything to do with The Authority. Punk says he prides himself on being one of the “biggest anti-authority guys” in WWE history. Stephanie McMahon’s music cuts Punk off and she makes her way to the stage area with a smile across her face. Stephanie says that she hoped Punk...

We’re 24 hours removed from WWE Hell in a Cell 2013. Welcome to this week’s write-up of WWE Raw.
The show begins with a video package showing Daniel Bryan being kicked in the mouth by Shawn Michaels and losing to Randy Orton, who became the new WWE Champion.
John Cena is welcomed back as the New World Champion, and the fans, as they have for ten years now, are very mixed. A lot of boos from the adults in the audience, but the kids are having fun seeing the pink-shirt wearing hero back on television. I wish I could echo their cheers, but sadly I am not too happy about Cena’s return. I will say though, it does add some “oomph” to the World Title, being around Cena’s shoulder. The announcers put Cena over like their lived depend on it. Cena takes the microphone and proclaims that he’s back.

Welcome to this week’s review and results of WWE Raw.
The show opens with Cm Punk, who makes his way to the ring to a nice cheer from the crowd, He has a new t-shirt on. They replay last week’s brawl with Ryback and Axel. Punk talks about being “jumped” by Ryback and Axel and how predicable it was. He talks about getting his hands on Axel, Ryback and Heyman and says he isn’t leaving the ring until he gets a fight. The Raw General Manager, Brad Maddox comes out, telling Punk to “take it easy”. Big E Langston makes his return, making his way to the ring and attacking Cm Punk. This is more interesting to me than Ryback/Punk, and I think Langston is a good power guy. We have our opening match.
Punk and Langston are already brawling when we return from break. Langston...

Welcome to our weekly in-depth review of WWE Raw.
Raw is live from Toronto, Canada tonight and we start off the show with Toronto’s own, and WWE Hall of Famer, Edge. Edge gets a loud response from his hometown crowd and looking at his energy as he makes his way to the ring, he looks to have missed this wrestling gig. Edge says he was asked to come to Raw by Triple H because it would be “good for business” for Edge and Randy Orton to have a reunion, as they were former tag team partners. Edge says that talking to Randy Orton “is like watching paint dry”. The fans love Edge and his sarcasm and humorous remarks. Edge says he’s not interested in talking to Randy Orton, but has another guest in mind, and introduces Daniel Bryan, who gets a huge pop from the Canadian crowd.
