Mumbai, March 15: Creativity is on a high at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week (Lfw) summer-resort 2014 with young designers like Ken Ferns, Tanya Sharma, Sonaakshi Raaj and Subhika Davda giving interesting touches to their collections.
Ferns has been inspired by unconventional themes in the past and this time, he took inspiration from Golden Age of the Azulejos form of Portuguese art of painted ceramic tiles.
Using modern summer colours like blue and white, with touches of turquoise, green, bubble gum pink and lime green, Ferns created a floral fantasy for his garments. Called the "Secret Garden" the silhouettes were utterly.

Day 1 of Lakme India Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014 saw the premiere of impressive Fashion Films, with fashion editor Anaita Shroff. Ace photographer Vikram Bawa presented two special films directed by him, at the event.
The first film featured Queenie Singh’s latest line in the fashion film format through Vikram’s lens, for ‘Jewels by Queenie’. The amorous Black and White video, with Queenie as the model, captures her stunning jewellery in all its glory, highlighting the essence of the classic brand. Diamonds, glamour, shimmer, beauty, and seductive music- the film has it all. Queenie, who was present at the event, looked ravishing in red. Vikram also presented a spectacular, fast paced film for the young and talented designer Sonakshi Raaj.

Fashionistas are gearing up for another season of the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2012 scheduled to take place in Mumbai August 3 to August 7, 2012. All set to bring new energy to the runway and maintain its leadership in promoting the Business of Fashion, Lakmé Fashion Week held a press conference to announce and introduce the lineup of their 86 designers and 10 sponsors participating in the upcoming season. Unlike past season which saw established designers like Rohit Bal closing the finale, for the first time this year will see fashion visionaries Kallol Datta and Pankaj & Nidhi as the grand finale designers.
